We ordered two Cuban Panini’s, one with a side caesar salad the other with the soup of the day along with two desserts. At a price of $35.00, we were very disappointed with the meals themselves. The sandwich, a pressed kaiser, was thick, hard and...bone dry enveloping the disproportionate two wafer thin slices of meat. There was absolutely no evidence or flavor of mojo-pork, and if there was a slice of Swiss cheese then it too was as thin as the meat as we didn’t see or taste it. There was merely the taste of a pickle. The caesar salad and soup were okay, mediocre at best for what we thought from the reviews would be delicious “homestyle cooking.” We tried it, but we won’t be returning.More
Wholesome homestyle place where the food is great and the service exemplary. The art gallery context together with home cooked, perfectly portioned food makes this a great place to come to. Bring a friend. Bring your special other. You will enjoy it. Tell Louise and...Maureen that I sent you ....More
The food was mediocre and I think the restaurant is more for the in-crowd. However it was Christmas and the decorations were exemplary.
My first stop in here, and I am thoroughly impressed. Prices weren't bad, The food is beautiful, and all homemade. Chai Tea is an absolute must. You wont be disappointed in anything you have or even the experience here.
One of my favourite stops for coffee & a treat. Have often enjoyed a lunch or dinner special here. Fresh homemade food is their thing. The historic location & artwork on display make for a unique experience. Staff is amazing.
This quaint restaurant is located in Medicine Hat's downtown core offering up good food and beverage to those visiting the downtown area. The restaurant is located in an old commercial building built in the early 1900's offering a glimpse of Medicine Hat history along with...a presentation of local artwork displayed on it's walls. The staff is very friendly and the meals are always very good as well, every day offers up more than one daily special. A point of interest to the restaurant is that one of the owners (a local artist and art instructor) conducts art classes adjacent to the restaurant, one is always welcome to browse and discuss the art work. This is always a wonderful restaurant to visit along with an enjoyable snack or meal.More
I give this a thumbs down after a recent dinner outing there as it appears The Inspire Café is geared more to coffee and treats. Portions seemed small and over priced. My sandwich had been microwaved and the bun was so hot I couldn't pick...it.More
I've visited this cafe in May and August so far this year and both times were great. I've sampled the club sandwich, egg sandwich, house-made chai and banana cream pie. I love their chai, especially the nutmeg element. Only complaint would be the seemingly inconsistent...preparation of it - first visit I had it, it was the perfect temperature and drinkable straightaway, second visit it was scaldingly hot, and I really had to let it cool off before drinking. This overheating somewhat affected the overall taste too, I felt. Service generally very good. Gorgeous corner cafe, light and airy with a delectable offering of pies and cakes, and wide menu selection. Can recommend :)More
We love to drop into this cafe and enjoy a wonderful treat and a cup of coffee. We look forward to seeing what new art is being displayed and who is there creating works to enjoy in the future. We often run into people we...know, after all they know a good place when they find one.More
Amazing local art fills the walls and great food, coffee and treats fills their guests up! Be ready to hunt for a table as this is one of the most popular places in town. They frequently have local musicians perform in the evenings.
My partner and I enjoyed a weekday lunch at Inspire Cafe in late October 2017. We each ordered potato soup and a sandwich. Both were delicious. The ambiance was equally tasty - we loved the local art showcased throughout the cafe. The only thing that...could have improved was our server's disposition. But, that alone will not be enough to deter us from a repeat visit.More
My Hubby and I love to go downtown on a Saturday afternoon for a homemade bowl of soup and a sandwich or just a cup of coffee and something sweet from their homemade deserts. The art work from local talent is lovely and for sale...and classes are fun to watch in the studio next door. The service is friendly and the homemade food is awesome! Children are welcome in this quaint little shop!More
Have been to Inspire before and have enjoyed the experience but a recent visit was bad enough to prompt this review. When we arrived at 1:00 pm on a Saturday the restaurant was about half full. We went to the counter to see if we...could order before taking a seat, but were advised that "it works best if you take a seat and the server will come to you". We were handed menues and we took a seat. We were never acknowledged again by either of the two servers. It became clear as we sat there that other tables had been waiting some time for service. While we waited another group of four came in and sat at a table next to us. Even though we had been waiting at least 10 min and another table had been waiting longer than us, this recent arrival table of four received menus, and had their order taken, while we had not even been acknowledged. The ambience may be great, the food good, but service like this will sour the experience. We waited a total of 15 min and after still no service or acknowledgement we left. We won't be going back again soon.More
We apologise that you did not have the greatest experience on Saturday, April 1. I only wish you would have been able to report the incident at the time so we could have fixed this. It was a very busy Saturday with Art Classes, parents,...More
Meals are always great, the owner always comes around and asks how everything is which I think is something all restaurants should do.
