Took my son here last week for dinner. We both ordered cheeseburgers, fries and gravy and we each had a Coke. The burgers were very tasty, but not quite hot enough (the cheese wasn't melted). The fries were crispy and hot, very nice. Gravy was okay, nothing special. The service was quick and friendly. For the two of us, including... More

Staff is always friendly and welcoming. A family environment with home cooked meals. Known for their curried chicken.

This is one of those places you drive by that always has a full parking lot. So yesterday when we could find no other place to eat on the hwy we decided to give it a try. To be fair the service was fast but not the most cherry, the menu was typical road house with some exceptions like cabbage... More

Prices are reasonable, food is ok, floor was sticky but maybe they were having a bad day. The curry chicken seemed very popular.

Visiting relatives in the area we went for dinner to the Haida Way for the curry chicken. This is a local favorite and we were looking forward to the dish we have to have when we are in the area. We had three full orders (one was shared between two) and a single order of curry chicken and prawns. We... More

We had spent the night in Cowichan Bay (south of Duncan) and we're taking a leisurely route north and looking for a old fashioned diner style breakfast, you know where you can order your eggs how you like them, get your coffee refilled as many times as you want, sit at the counter or in a booth and plan your... We ate dinner here because it was within walking distance of our motel. The food was good, but the place was short-staffed and very busy so the service was slow.

We were staying at the Fuller Lake Motel next door and this was convenient for breakfast. However note that the waitress is alone until 9 AM when more staff shows up. We were there at 8:15 on a Sunday morning and the place was packed, The wonderful waitress was literally running! So it took forever for our order to show... More

The Haida Way has served great curried chicken for years. It is just going through the motions now, and serves a nice yellow curry sauce with overcooked, stringy chicken lacking any attempt to make a great dish of curry... Great. Too bad.

I have to say this is a truck stop, so I was not expecting too much. I hear the curry chicken is wonderful, well they should stick to that! The waitress, an older gal was a # 1, first class, ace waitress. She was working the room by herself and had at least 25 customers coming and going. But: I... More
