I've given this place a try three times (twice for sushi and once for ramen) and it failed all three times. The sushi just does not taste good. Fishy flavour (ie didn't taste as fresh as it should be), and the quality was just not...there. I am an avid sushi restaurant goer so I know what good quality is. I was excited for the ramen (being a major fan of Vancouver's ramen scene) but this didn't even compare. The brother water watery and noodles and other ingredients bleh. New chef needed.More
On a road trip thru BC and had a lunch hunger. Typically salad or soup for my lunches, so ramen hits the spot.
Freshly made, stock was good, not great but good. Noodles might have needed a minute or two more cooking. Pork was tasty...and tender. Eggs were hard boiled, I’m used to seeing softer eggs so they add to the broth, but whatever.
Very nice seating and decor. Service was fast and super nice.More
After the kids came by for trick or treats we headed out for a snack. Lightly battered tempura shrimp and veggies went well with our dynamite roll, spicy scallop cone and few Nigiri pieces. Washed it down with the house Saki and tea. We luv...this hidden hem that does not get the attention it deserves. No sushi shortcuts here. This is the real deal on a small authentic scale that goes unnoticed in Chilliwack.
Come sit in your own bamboo booth or at a nice table. Hidden in a large parking lot near Canadian Tire where the English Chip Shop once was.
You gotta eat here!More
