We went there yesterday for dinner. It is a scenic place on the harbor. There is enough parking. We got seated outside but the chairs do not work for dinner, they are patio chairs. So, we went inside. There are lots of pictures to look...at. The place is clean. The service friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine which they did not have, but that is not unusual, knowing from experience that the liquor stores constantly change their wines. We got an Australian Pinot Grigio which was okay. Being in the middle of all those wineries, one would think there should be some local wines available? For dinner we ordered a curry chicken and a seafood platter. The curry was good, my seafood a letdown. a piece of soggy fried fish, look warm shrimps, the only good thing were the scallops, which were the only hot items on the platter. The waitress did not check on our dinner so I could not really mention it. The prices were reasonable We probably won't go back, since it is a bit of a drive, and there are better places around.More

visited here for our special anniversary dinner. We both ordered fish and chips - one with chips and one with yam fries. Our portions were extremely small compared to other diners meals and the yam fries were overcooked (almost burnt). Don't think we will return...here.More

Great little spot on the Marble Bay Harbor. Service was very friendly and accommodating, food was good and fresh. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the fresh air with a local brew which was great.

Took a short trip down Herd Rd to Maple Bay, past the Maple Bay Yacht Club and onto the Marina where the Shipyard Restaurant stands alone. We arrived just in time for the Sunday opening 1130am and were the first one's seated in the outdoor...patio overlooking the Marina where there were power boats and yachts of all sizes. The order was taken and 12 minutes later the food was on the table, both of us had burgers, the Sockeye salmon and the Mushroom Swiss, both were served with French fries (our choices) with all of the normal burger ingredients, they were large and delicious.More

Visited here in November 2021 for dinner with family. It was mid week and the restaurant wasn't very busy so we were pampered by our server with friendly conversation and frequent drink refills. It's a well preserved two storey restaurant right on the water. Unfortunately,...we were there in the darkness so weren't able to enjoy the view but I'm certain it's beautiful in the daylight. Calamari with dip was deep-fried and tasted good. Halibut and chips were cooked perfectly and lightly battered (not overly greasy), the coleslaw was very bland. Overall, pleasant experience and would recommend a visit.More

What else to do on a rainy November but try a new lunch spot. This quaint pub was like going back in time. Nice views of the marina & cozy dining area. Staff are super friendly & very attentive. The swiss, mushroom burger was one...of the best I've enjoyed in a long while. Hand made patty, delicious bun, grilled on the cook top old school style...the way burgers used to be made. Awesome service Jen! Thank you...we'll be back in the summer to test out the patio.More

We were catching a float plane to Vancouver out of Maple Bay earlier to day and had lunch here before boarding. We were seated right away and our server was there quickly for the drink order. When she brought back our beers we ordered. My...wife had Halibut & Chips and I had Clam Chowder. For starters at the table we all shared a Crab Cakes and a Pot Stickers. All of our dishes were delivered in short order and everything tasted wonderful. The prices on all the dishes were quite reasonable so I consider this meal to have been a good value.More

We visited this restaurant for the first time and found the location very enchanting. However, the food and service were not the best so were disappointed about this. We also noted that the Restaurant was in need of some maintenance & updating. Hopefully this is...just because of COVID and things will improve in the future.More

The location of this restaurant beside the water was stunning! Even though it was raining! Seeing floating houses was a onetime Site. The food was fabulous. I have to say the hamburger with mushrooms and Swiss cheese was the BEST I have ever had. All...of our food was delicious!More

The view is lovely and the service was great. I would say the food is just average though. Nothing really special. It is just pub food. We had much better meals on our trip elsewhere. Come for the view and the service but don't expect...an elevated food experience.More

Great location down the coastal road from Duncan, with views of the Bay and the surrounding forests. Had the halibut and chips as well as a decent burger, both excellent choices with the fish cooked to perfection and with the right amount of french fries....Service was good with the waitress providing covid service and making sure that all points were sanitized, felt really safe there.More

Had a great experience with my first visit here. Service was fast and I was lucky they had tables open. I had the Cajun halibut burger with salad and margaritas. One of the best margaritas I’ve had(on the rocks) I try them every where I...go. Fish was cooked perfect on a fresh and light bun and salad was crisp everything was fresh and really enjoyable I will be back. Plus it came with a large pickle wedge and I love pickles so you won my heart over right there. Only thing is I came around 6-6:30 and there was no longer sun on the patio so you’ve been warned. I did bring a jacket incase but the weather was so warm I wore shorts but in these times you have to go prepared it’s not on them at all... my servers name was Jackie very polite and prompt service even though it looked like she might of been training a bar tenderMore

While spending two days in Maple Bay I couldn’t resist going i there twice for lunch. Both dishes were yummy and good priced! Washed it down with a golden Lager. Very friendly staff despite the Covid situation. Definitely back for more.
