Harrison Hot Springs like many resort communities has a captive audience. Your selection of restaurants is limited and you get what you get - prepare to be underwhelmed. Morgans is an exception.
This restaurant does not rely on patrons that show up by default. The food and service are great. Prices are what you would expect, actually they are a little lower than equal caliber restaurants closer to the city.
Great prawns. Great lamb. Great Spare ribs. Great bartender. OK decor.

We went to Morgan's Bistro in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C. on July 22 (2021) for an anniversary dinner. For the past approximately 13 years my husband and I have gone to many places for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. We have often stayed close to home (a staycation in Kamloops when our kids were young, to Harrison, Fairmont, Penticton, Victoria and Kelowna) to places farther from home ( Eastern Canada, Las Vegas). We both agree that for service, food quality and value that Morgan's is the best anniversary dinner we have had in that time. Normally, we would have had dinner at the Copper Room at the Harrison Resort, but it was closed this year. We are more than happy that this blip in our plans occurred. Because of this closure, we were forced to find a new place for our special dinner. We could seriously not have been more impressed with our dinner at Morgan's Bistro. From the start to finish, our needs were very well catered to. Our Server, Stewart, was very friendly, professional, personable and attentive. He made sure that we were well aware of the specials and was very happy to answer all of our questions not only about the specials, but also about all of our inquiries about the restaurant's philosophies and food sources. He demonstrated pride in the quality of product that the restaurant served. It was comforting to me, as a customer, to know that an employee was genuinely proud of the product that the restaurant served. My husband had the strip loin steak special and I had the Prawns Diablo linguine pasta. Both excellent, and more than generous portions!! We ordered the cheesecake dessert which was given to us complimentary for our anniversary, Now that my husband is retired, we plan on extending our travels to Europe, Australia and beyond, however we will most definitely consider starting our travels in Harrison at Morgan's Bistro for our anniversary before travelling abroad. Thank you Stewart and Morgan's Bistro for such a wonderful post pandemic anniversary experience. We will definitely see you again!

We had a weekend stay in Harrison for a 40th birthday party recently, and upon the first night’s arrival of some of our guests, a table of twelve of us dropped in on Morgan’s Bistro - who were extremely accommodating. I called to give them a head’s up, and they had no issue having us. Food and service was fantastic, and we had a great time. I would highly recommend this place! Thanks for a memorable night. :)

Morgan’s Bistro made me realize I am a foodie.
Service was excellent. The food could be improved.
Tomato bisque soup was tasty, but a little too salty and the pepper caught me off guard a time or two. The accompanying bread was freshly baked and wonderful.
Th Short Rib entrée was beautifully arranged and displayed on the plate, however the portion size was too much.
Two giant short ribs were tough and over cooked. The au jus was salty. The crème horseradish was very nice. There was copious amounts of whipped potatoes and an odd mishmash of vegetables- grilled carrot, beets, broccoli, green beans and a bok choy - none done perfectly, but I don’t think you can really mess up vegetables. The pairing/selection was just odd.
The crème brûlée was delicious and the Pinot Gris was a BC wine and very palatable. There were several other BC wines on the list, which I prefer.
Overall, dinner was served in a timely manner and I will come back and try other dishes. The service was amazing and friendly. Great ambiance. My suggestion is too make the short rib mouth melting, only have one, choose only two seasonal vegetables, and less whipped potatoes, or make whipped cauliflower...and please decrease the salt in all dishes.

I went for a hike with a friend in Harrison. After our hike we just wanted to have a drink. Upon entering the restaurant we were told immediately that the server was the bartender and the server. Which is totally understandable being she only had to serve the patio which had 4 tables. Me and my friend are servers and understand the challenges servers face when alone. However we ordered one drink and after we received our drinks we were told we weren’t allowed to order just drinks as their license is food primary. If we were told prior we wouldn’t have ordered anything. Our server continued to be very rude to us. We were forced to order garlic toast for $3 (which we paid for and never received) we then heard our server telling the table next to us to sit down while he eats. We were so offended we couldn’t wait to leave. I left her $1 tip because I felt bad, but wow! I’m sorry but that was one of the worst experiences I have ever had coming from a server. I will never go back.

My husband and I went here for dinner and while the food was good, we weren't too impressed with the plating. My husband ordered the short rib and rather than being served on a plate, it was served in a high sided bowl. It was very awkward to eat , as cutting the meat was difficult because the food kind of overflowed onto the table. My salad was also served in the same kind of bowl and the prawns on top were hard to cut and salad was spilling out of the bowl and onto the table. We should have asked for plates and the meal would have been much easier to eat without slopping food everywhere.

4 stars for the service, the food was excellent. We had a number of the entrees including the beef short ribs, lamb and beef tenderloin, all were good the lamb special was fantastic with a Mertiage we brought from home a 2008 Painted Rock Red Icon. This restaurant wanted my MC number to reserve a table and even though I mentioned it was a 50th birthday nothing was offered. The food was a 10 but the service could be improved on, all and all an excellent place for dinner in Harrison.

My daughter and her husband had eaten here, when they stayed at the Harrison resort. and raved about their meal. So, for our 51st anniversary, we decided to go to the Hot Springs Resort and go to Morgan's for dinner. The menu is very broad and all six of us exactly what we wanted. Our server was excellent and catered to all our needs. I would definitely eat here again. The prices are reflected in the high quality of the meals they serve.

Didn't get the server's name, even when asked, but she was on point. Quick to tell us the preferred dish to order, she wasn't all that helpful when the steak came medium well instead of medium rare. An explanation of sorts, but no adjustment or recompense for the mistake, the steak was good, as were the short ribs. The view is perfect, and the prices expected with higher end quality food.

While the menu is limited, everything was freshly cooked to order and what we had was great. The staff were very obliging and were able to change parts of a meal to suit your preferences, an advantage of each dish being freshly prepared. While we were there they even produced a children meal that was not anywhere on the menu, what great service.

Our server did absolutely nothing for our table but gladly took the 18% mandatory gratuity for our table of 7. We were her only table. No one else was even in the restaurant. Food took a long time. The steaks were overdone but the rest of our order was delicious to be fair.

After touring BC for two weeks and having been exposed to too many fried things we were looking for something higher class (in quality).
When arriving Harrison Hot Springs we discovered this little restaurant and got positively surprised: Not only the food, but also the service exceeded our expectations by far.
Thx a lot to the team which we came visiting every evening of our stay in HHS

Food was unpalatable. We had to send back the escargots, not good at all, little tiny critters in some kind of a sauce that was not good at. I guess I was hoping for the garlic, butter cheese dish but this was not at all a good appetizer. Then the main course my husbands Arctic Char was okay but my Braised Lamb Shank was disgusting tasting the sauce was a wine based concoction that I could not tolerate to swallow, so back it went. Unfortunately I left very hungry but didn’t want to have my husband sit and wait for my entree to come out to us if I was going to brave enough to try something else on the menu. Nice atmosphere but I think they need to get a new chef for the kitchen. Can’t believe this is one of the higher rated establishments in Harrison Hot Spring, so sad such a lovely town.

This bistro had a location that is quite different from the beautiful picture on their webpage. The food was quite expensive; the music, which we asked to lower the sound, was screechy, and it was turned up and down even when we were the only party there. After a long discussion of how we wanted the vegies cooked, several were so hard we couldn't cut them. Then when the bill came, they gave an option of paying in USD, which was quite a bit less than the Exchange Rate, but we didn't know. This seemed seamly. This restaurant was highly recommended by the Lodge on Harrison Lake.

The food is a little expensive but you get what you paid for. Great food and great views. The steak I had was probably one of the most tender steaks I have had in a long long time. Their Caesar salad was great.
