Was always curious what the difference was between Kelly O'Bryans and Carlos O'Bryans. Not much except they appear to use up day old Prime Rib. Started with patchos, wnted just extra cheese, but got cheese and bacon, turned a 10.50 plate of cheese fries in...to a $15 side of cheese fries. On to the Prime Rib which we ordered it deluxe with prawns and Bernaise, prawns were overcooked, and hardly had any sauce on them, not worth the $38.75. Prime Rib was heavily seasoned, and the outside half inch was black from the rub, meat was cool and stringy to cut, definitely tasted like leftover, and the "jus" on the side tasted like salty gravy from a package. Champ potatoes were just a runner-up....grey, old, and not hot on the inside,(microwaved maybe?) shoulda got mashed. Couldn't stick around to have it redone. my date got sick later after the meal but it was likely the fruity Strongberg drink she had, as it was the only thing different between us, so I suspect it coulda been the fruit maybe fermenting. Bottom line....appy two drinks, two prime Rib, $130 before tax and tip,..... wasted. Gonna stick to going to Kelly's, ...or the Keg.More
I'm traveling through Canada and i'd just wanna to have a quiet place to call my familie. It was a Nice bar with a pooltable where at Busy weekend nights the vibe would be quiet Nice i imagine. The bartenders were very friendly and helpfull...with anything i needed. The beer was Nice and food was d definately okay! A good place to have a break!More
Called into this place for a late night take away pizza. They didn't have pizza on their menu so we ordered a chorizo flat bread not knowing what we were getting.
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. I would recommend this place...if you are looking for good food. Their kitchen is open until midnight so that's a real bonus when you arrive late in Kamloops.More

We walked the length of Victoria Street and many of the restaurants only had one or two tables filled and didn't look real exciting. Walked into Carlos O'Bryans and found all the people who wanted to be out that evening. Lots of locals, and a...couple floors of options between the bar, the pool tables, and large groups of people celebrating together. Weren't sure of the theme, sounded like an Irish pub but lots of Mexican dishes on the menu and a couple of the wait staff wearing kilts, one gal in a kilt so short it was verging on indecent!
Enjoyed a taco salad and a bowl of broccoli soup + tip = $43 CAD. Can't beat that!More
Wanted a beer and snack, so happened across this pace as was convenient to the hotel. Pleasant service, but a pretty standard Irish bar, and all that entails...ie a bit formulaic, and lacking in charm. Not somewhere I would go again...
