Our first visit to this location on Sunday and I opted for the Mexican benny while my wife had 3 tacos consisting of the frijole, oh my gourd, and chorizo mushroom. My benny was plated well, cooked perfectly, and the scratch hollandaise ranks up with anything I have had in the okanagan in the past few years. Tater tot accompaniment will be hit and miss for some, and while I like them, my tater tots were cold when they arrived. Not a huge detraction from the fantastic eggs benny but it is what it is and I thought to mention it. Taco flavours and execution were excellent with my wife’s favourite vegetarian taco being the oh my gourd. Price points were decent , our server was excellent, location was clean, I liked the decor, but not a fan of the chairs(just my opinion). My double ceasar was excellent and while I had my doubts when I entered this location due to so many one reviewers(thought they were going to be another Canadian brewhouse who pads the reviews), it turns out I was happily in error, and this location is well worth taking the time to find. We will happily return and recommend.

My husband and I came in to celebrate my birthday. For drinks he had the raspeberry habanero marguerita and I had the coconut habanero marguerita. Both amazing! I went back and ordered the Elderflower. It had subtle flavors but good nonetheless. As an appy we had the guacamole and chips. Very healthy amount of guac. No need to watch how much you had on your chip. He ordered the braised beef enchiladas(very flavourful, just wish they were slightly bigger) and I, a variety of tacos (frijoles, al pastor, and camaron) Loved the camaron so much (I love seafood) that I ordered another camaron taco! To finish off we shared the churro which satisfied our sweet craving. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive but gave us enough space to enjoy our meal and the atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant, we will definitely be returning again!

I was referred here by MJ about a week ago and finally had the opportunity to stop by. Man am I glad we did. The entire vibe/decor was gorgeous and food and drinks left us speechless. Paige was out server and she was very friendly and did a fantastic job making sure our drinks were never empty and ensured we were well taken care of. I asked her which margarita she would recommend (I said I liked spicy) and she said the cucumber jalapeño would be best for me.. man was she right! I, along with another friend, ordered the braised beef burrito as I read reviews on how tasty it was so I had to try it. Both our dishes were cold when they arrived but Colton, the manager on shift, quickly got them heated up for us to enjoy. Paige had asked if there was anything she could bring while we waited for our dishes to return. We appreciated the offer but didn’t want to spoil our meal after having tasted just 1 bite of heaven, we were happy to wait. After we got all of our food, Colton brought over 5 shots of complimentary tequila for the table. Even though we were very understanding (I work in the industry and know this happens all the time) it was a very kind way to apologize for our meal mishap. We finished the meal off with an order of hot, mouthwatering churros coated in cinnamon and sugar with caramel to dip ... YUM. When we received our bills we noticed that both burritos had been given a 20% “customer appreciation” discount. This was above and beyond any service I have received in Kelowna, or anywhere, in as long as I can remember. I love going out to eat and have lived and grown up here so I like to speak up when I encounter an experience as fantastic as this one. They also had a very well run floor with excellent Covid procedures/standards put in place. We will all be back and I will definitely be recommending this place, and food, to everyone. 100/10.

Went with a group of two other girls and myself. We ordered the chips and salsa and the two girls I was with ordered 2 tacos each with fish and pork and I ordered the quesadilla with chorizo. The chorizo was heavily burnt and I wish I took a picture because it was not good and looked worse. The chips are store bought Tostitos (or a different brand nonetheless I could buy them for 4.99 at a grocery store) and were not fried or anything done to them. I was shocked that a place advertising authentic Mexican food would serve those kinds of chips. Honestly I wanted to love this place because I love the one in Nelson but I saw a review here where someone said they need to up their game and I agree completely. The margarita was great as expected...but seriously don't eat here until they up their game with the food because right now it's no where near good. Also agree with the other review on price point...I've never seen such a miniature taco for $3.75, I really did not think they sold tortillas that small...at first I thought it would be a great deal then the size of it comes and it's disappointing

Cantina Del Centro is a new Mexican 'style' reataurant on the Bernard strip in Kelowna. This is their second location, with the original located in Nelson. If they hope to survive in Kelowna, especially in the winter, they will have to improve not only their food but their price point for everything on the menu. Overpricing doesn't go well in Kelowna expecially when there are existing established Mexican restaurants. A tiny taco for $3.95 that is ho-hum won't work. Nachos with store bought chips and shredded chedder (very Un Mexican!) may work in Nelson, but try Ki'bok or Hector's for a more authentic experience. Maybe a place to go for a quick drink before moving on to have dinner elsewhere.

Came here with a few friends for a late dinner. Server was friendly enough. Good service was slow but the place was busy And the food was decent. Some meal portion sizes were Very large while others were impossibly small. Drinks were good. Overall it was decent experience however, there was a final experience that left an awful taste in my mouth. When I went to pay my bill, my server (girl with stenciled tatt on her chest) handed me the debit machine with a tip ALREADY entered in the machine. A gratuity that worked out to be 22%. Pretty bold and presumptuous. I felt like she was trying to advantage of me. I obviously pushed “back” and lowered the gratuity after that incident but it really makes me wonder how many people she does that to. Brutal.

Arrived on a cold Monday night after a long day of travel…I had never been to this particular Cantina and was pleasantly surprised . The manager Colton scanned our Covid passports Slick as could be .
The staff allowed us to choose the location of our table(which allowed us to view almost the entire restaurant) . The decor is modern and bright and I really liked the lighting , I have to say that we really enjoyed the music.
Our waitress Kat was dressed in stylish yet professional attire . She was helpful in assisting us with both our choose of drinks and food selections. Our food of choose was their new “avocado taco”. It was delicious and fresh(highly recommended)…
We arrived around 5:30 and by 6:00 the restaurant was filled with happy customers yet the staff managed to maintain professional standard of service which I particularly loved because it doesn’t happen very often.

The food is amazing. Fish tacos and beef tacos were off the hook, as was the avocado frito taco. The habanero salsa was just the right amount of heat that you can add at your whim. Can't wait to taste the enchiladas next time. Cocktails were strong and flavorful. Not a bunch of sugar- real ingredients that were fresh and well balanced. And lastly, the service was superb. Thank you to Tyler who hooked us up with our reservations. And Liam, for the fantastic cocktails (can't wait to come back for some more bartender recommendations) and our wait person Zoe, who was responsive, engaging and eager to help us have an exceptional experience. Well done! We will be back!

This place is so great!! Myself and a few friends came in the other day, our server was so sweet, knowledgeable & friendly. I think her name was Caitlin!
The Margaritas are off the hook, especially the smoked Jalapeño, as while as their selection of Tequilas & Mezcals!
The tacos were sooo good, and they accommodate to everyone whether you are vegetarian, have a dairy allergy or a gluten allergy.
Our service was fast, friendly & attentive. Thank you for a wonderful experience Caitlin, we will definitely be back SOON.
If you haven’t been here yet.. you NEED to go!

Not a place for couples going out for dinner. My husband and I went Saturday evening and waited awhile for a table because it was busy. Manager told us there was a seat available now at the bar. We followed thinking this was just for drinks while waiting for a table to open up. These were the worst seats in the place because two bartenders were mixing and shaking tons of drinks directly in front of us only a foot away! It was so noisy we couldn’t even talk to one another. One bartender finally asked us if we wanted to order food. We then realized this was it for seating and my husband asked the manager if we could have a table as we we came there for a nice dinner not to eat at a bar. He said no! Once seated that was it, no changing tables. Well, we were not at a table to begin with. We paid our bill $28 for 2 drinks and left! All of the tables had 4 or more people at them and the pairs of people were all seated at the bar. So disappointing...

Who the hell knew that the Coconut Habanero Margarita was a thing little own would become the focus of most my waking hour's attention. Whatever mixologist came up with that cocktail list is a gem and I tip my hat to them!
The room is stylish and really what Kelowna needed to force everyone else to up there game. Nothing against chain restaurants but if you want to see creativity on full display in all aspects this is a must stop.
All Covid protocols were implemented but it still felt comfortable, not an easy task. Service was friendly and attentive and the Tuna Tostada are a must-have.
Good luck to the team, we had a wonderful experience.

Went to this restaurant for my birthday dinner based on reviews and I was very disappointed. The service wasn't great; our server forgot about us at the end and told us she thought we had already paid, so she took our appetizer off the bill. I definitely appreciated that as the 'dish' was a total disappointment. We ordered simple pico de gallo with chips. The dice was huge, so you could only get about 1 piece of tomato on a chip. The tomatoes themselves were mealy and under ripe. This may have simply been a product of the produce available in that season, but I have managed to make better pico with crappy tomatoes., I was pretty happy to NOT pay $12 for that. Most Mexican restaurants that I have been to would provide this for free. We tried 3 different kinds of tacos and they were all ok. I have very little spice tolerance, but I had to use the most spicy sauce to give them any flavour. I'm sure if you just go for the tequila, everything tastes better.

I've heard great things about this restaurant so I was really excited to try it out (who doesn't love tacos?!!) but the experience was extremely disappointing. We got our drinks right away, but the waitress said the kitchen was backed up so she brought us chips and pico de Gallo (which was $15). She didn't come back to talk our food order for an hour and a half. She didn't even check on us!
When finally got to order our food, I was shocked at how small the tacos were (especially for $5 each). I've never seen a taco so tiny! The flavour was good but the portions were just so small that I was shocked. For the price I was definitely expecting more.
The tacos were decent, but honestly, I'm not going to spend $30 on tacos just for one person for dinner.
The bill was almost $70 for two people (4 tacos, 3 beers, 1/2 order of pico & chips) and we left still hungry.

Another wonderful night at Cantina.
The soup special recommended by Dustin was absolutely amazing and our server Ashley gave the best service I've had in Kelowna. Highly recommend for a few cheeky margaritas or a full sit down meal!

Tried out cantinas brunch menu the Benny is unreal, our server Nicole was awesome and made really good suggestions about the menu. She recommended the ginger Cardamon marg, it’s a must try. So excited to have cantina in Kelowna !
