About
My Neighbourhood Restaurant is Rutland's comfortable eating place for the whole family. Open every day for breakfast and lunch from 7am to 3:30pm offering delicious breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, salads and burgers. We are fully licensed and take reservations for groups of up to twenty during the day. We're located at the corner of HWY 33 and Roxby Road, where the old Rutland Pet Hospital used to be. Come and check us out!

Stopped in for breakfast Saturday and I was greeted and seated immediately. Put an order in for eggs benny and a coffee which came out in under 5 minutes...crazy fast. Pan fried hash browns and the eggs poached perfect with an ok packaged hollandaise sauce. Similar in genre to some big chains like Denny’s, with a price point to match, they do mix in a lot of house made items into the menu. It’s one of the better locations to eat in the rutland area in my experience. Location was clean and parking was abundant.

We were only in Kelowna for one night but we knew we wanted to get breakfast in the morning before a Costco trip. This place came up as a good option.
We had the Canadian Scramble and the Half Blackstone Benny with Banana Stuffed French Toast.
(Chris) The Canadian Scramble was good with the hollandaise but the meat was a little tough. And, honestly, there were too many vegetables! I mean, I don’t mind some peppers and such, but, I’m there for the potatoes and meat. Otherwise, I’d probably get it again.
Rachel had the Blackstone Benny: biscuit, bacon, goodness (half order) and the French toast. First, it’s really cool that you can get a half order benny or even a three benny order. Never seen that before. To go with the savory she got the banana-stuffed French toast. Both were done really well. The Benny had a great, smoky, flavor and the French toast wasn’t too sweet.
We were seated right away on a Saturday morning.

We go to this restaurant about half a dozen times a year. Its location is handy for us and the food is acceptable.
Reason I'm writing another review of this restaurant and why it is more negative is the the waiter that was having a hissy fit on our visit and was very rude to us.
He is the tall thin flamboyant one that has been there for years. We showed up a party of 5 and had no seating for 25 minutes unless we sat outside. That was fine. We have an autistic grandson that has a special diet that keeps him calm and regulated. We have brought his food numerous times and they have allowed him to eat it out of his thermos (special rice) or a baggy (fruit). This waiter said it wasn't allowed and never was. We explained he had before and there was no problem. He said that wasn't true, but would let us break the rules this one time and was acting very put out that he had to explain this to us. He asked for our drink order, we all gave our requests except one that wasn't sure what she wanted and was thinking for more 6 seconds, so he threw up his arms in the air and sauntered off to the kitchen to get our coffee's. We were all very disappointed and dismayed. We decided we were all too upset to eat where this drama queen would be our server. We will never return to this restaurant again. That's what Canadians really do.

On a late lunch plan before heading to YLW, we were very pleasantly greeted and waited on. Sadly, they are only open for breakfast and lunch. The food was amazing! I had the best Huevos Rancheros I've enjoyed in any Mexican restaurant in Canada or the U.S. My BFF had Apple Caramel French Toast and my husband ordered a BLT with chicken noodle soup. The service is fabulous and friendly. You will never be disappointed in the options for breakfast or lunch, just make sure you bring a good appetite!

Very, very average. The best thing about this place is the ease of parking. Menu is quite extensive but the food is just SO a average that there is no good reason to go back. Nothing really wrong but nothing great either.

Have been here a few times and every time it's been good. SLightly off normal stuff, I always have the crab cakes benny and it's sooo good. Brother recently asked for eggs to be placed on toast and told no, too small a kitchen for that, which was weird, but otherwise always had good food and service here

I've been to MNR a few times, the food ranges from decent to really good (my favorite is their take on the huevos rancheros).
But there is this guy server there, seems to work all the time during the week. He is one of the worst servers I have ever had. From 5ft away he says "what do you want to drink?" without ever saying "hi how are you?" or any other form of greeting. Didn't even fully stand at our table while waiting for our drink order. Not a single please or thank you from him, he barely looked at us, and was always just whizzing by. It was so rude I was actually flabbergasted. My mom and I tried to not say please and thanks back, responding in the same way he was treating us, but we physically couldn't do it! We are too programmed to be polite, which means this guy has practice at being rude.
He quality checked on our meals by calling out the question as he flew past to make a drink in the bar, never responded to us at all.
The whole experience was so terrible I'll never go back unless I know I can get a different server, as I have had other really good service there before. Such a shame they keep this rude person.

Normal strip mall type restaurant but it packs a punch with their breakfast menu.
Great selections and great food. Can get very busy. But good value for money.

Have eaten here lots. Close to home lol. Very good breakfast and lunch. Food is always good. Prices are reasonable. Never been disappointed eating here. Can get busy so you know the food is good. Enjoy. Cheers Greg.

Great place to eat BUT I was disappointed when I was told there were no Kelowna craft brewed beers available,in cans,bottles or on tap. Pretty strange when there are at least 9 craft breweries in Kelowna.

First visit many years ago was not good at all. Time and experience have changed that. Big time. Smoked salmon bennies were great. Very tasty. Service was goo. Price is acceptable. Ambience? It’s a pub. Location and parking are very good. We will be back.

Whoever came up with a Crab Cake Benny with cranberry salsa on the side is a genius.
The food has been very good over many visits, though we have had one bad experience (unfortunately, it was the one time I insisted my mother and sister come with us). I still recommend it highly—that one time had to be just a weird fluke with a hopeless rookie in training or something?
