Bouchons, an elegant French Bistro, opened for business on May 14th 2004 in the heart of Kelowna’s cultural district, a two minute walk from the Delta Grand Hotel. Offering French regional gastronomy comfort food in a casual elegant European ambiance, the goal was to bring to the beautiful Okanagan Valley a restaurant of international calibre.

Beatrice was kind enough to squeeze us in on the 10th of Sept for a 8:30 sitting. We were celebrating our sons and daughter In laws wedding planning day in preparation for a October wedding. Had the truffle scallops. Exquisite. Best scallops I have had...in 8 countries including Michelin experiences. The rest of the clan had the nightly special salmon and veal dish. Both were excellent. Well done Stephan. Our culinary experience here never fails to disappoint.More
We have always eaten at Bouchons whilst visiting Kelowna, and had a first class experience every time in the past. This is the first time with the new owners and never again. The server was arrogant and incompetent. The meals were badly prepared, had poor...quality ingredients which were tasteless and overpriced. Although the owner apologized for the quality of the food saying it was a problem to find kitchen staff, the server took off his mask and barred our exit to demand a better tip. Simply astonishing. Avoid this place.More
Clemence was an attentive, engaging and highly professional authentic server from France. The meal was uniquely French, the atmosphere took us away to Europe, and we could not have had a better time. Bravo
Very disappointed is the word we would use to describe Bouchons. The food was over-priced, mediocre, and bland; nothing to write home about. We could not believe the restaurant charged for bread; this is just plain nickel-and-diming. The restaurant was very warm and uncomfortable. The...waiter failed to check in with us after we received our food and forgot to bring our water. I asked for fleur de sel and the waiter brought some other salt. How can a French restaurant not have fleur de sel? The restaurant failed to deliver in every way. The bill for the two of us not including alcohol was $185.00. There are a lot of other restaurants where the food, service, and prices are much better. Save your money and go elsewhere. We do not know how they got a 4.5 star review! This was our first and last time going to Bouchons.More
Nice to see the staff and ambience at Bouchons return with restrictions opening up. Had another excellent meal at the restaurant this past Saturday. Rack of lamb and prawn scallop dish was done to perfection and the oysters appy paired nicely to the wine the...server suggested.More
This restaurant tries to look upscale, which based on the reviews suggests they have succeeded fooling many, but it may be that we were just there on an off night. The filet mignon was technically prepared well and the rabbit was ok but dry and...nothing special. The sauces for both mains seemed to be something sourced from a premixed bin at Bulk Barn, which if one thing a French restaurant should be known for is their sauces. With that being said, the food was at least better than what you would get from a typical chain restaurant. The most disappointing part of the evening was that our server was the worst and most awkward server we have ever experienced. It seems like he was just hired for his French accent (more lipstick) rather than having any real serving experience. He would just walk up to the table and stare at us instead of asking normal questions like do you want a drink, how is your meal, or even in my case a simple, Happy Birthday that was flagged on the booking. I guess he did say “congratulations” when we left, which was at least good for another “that was awkward” moment. To be fair, if the service was good than the meal being a bit sub-standard would have still made for a decent evening, however poor service and long kitchen times combined with an bland product made this experience an extremely disappointing one.More
Right from the start the service was excellent, Joffre our waiter went out of his way to be helpful and has a great sense of humour. The seafood was fresh, tasty and vegetables were just right. The 3 of us had a memorable dinner and...will definitely return.More
