This was an amazing lunch that I will give a 10/10 and I am a fussy foodie. We need more “Mom And Pop” businesses that care about friendly service and good hearty food that is well made and tastes amazing. . The owner and staff are friendly, fun people who make the day brighter. The lineup moves fast and the food was piping hot. Great prices for great food.. not some trendy chain that rips you off.

We loved it here! It was a Thursday so we had the Thanksgiving sandwich/fries and a bowl of soup. Everything was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the owners are the best.
Before we left, we ended up buying two frozen different soups, carrot cake, and Mac/cheese(frozen). All of this yummy food is frozen and will travel with us. The owners helped us with trying to decide what to buy first our journey to the 49th state.

I had the Mulligatawny soup... it was fabulous...so rich in flavour and the right amount of spice.
It was a well run smooth operation...I saw a staff of 7 people working very efficiently in a small area. They moved people thru the line in very short order. I was visiting the area so had not been there before but people in line were raving about how good their food is. Lots of home made options. I can see why their place is so highly rated.

Had terrific meals! My wife loved the French Onion Grilled Cheese sand which and I had a Club Sandwich with fries. Both were outstanding! Service was excellent - even at a Friday lunch period that was packed. Owner spoke to us as out of town patrons. The gravy was probably the best we have had. The restaurant has passed through very few owners and the new ones created a welcoming environment - and wonderful food. Well worth the visit for a great lunch.

I've only been to the Hobo once before because I work too far away and they are closed on weekends. I had a major dental appt, so was off work for the morning and decided I was going to go to Little Hobo and treat myself beforehand. I parked a ways away and after I walked through construction and got to the door, there was a sign saying they were closed because their freezer had broken down and they were in the process of getting another following a long weekend.
I literally doubled over, saying "Nooooo!" when a lady on the patio asked me if I had come for lunch. I shared with her my insignificant anguish (compared to the freezer breaking down and losing all the food in it), and she went inside and came out with a hot container of Little Hobo soup that she gave to me. I couldn't believe it! The soup was amazing, but more amazing was the owner, Crystal Dougan's, generosity. I made it to my dental appt warm and full, and uplifted by Crystal's kindness in the face of her own loss.
Thank you, Crystal. I'm hoping for another appt to bring me back again soon!

Incentive soup & sandwich as always, definitely missed this place and the amazing owners! This is the best lunch spot in Kelowna! My wife and I shared the Hobo & Muligatany Soups and Grilled Ham & Cheese and a Tuna Melt. All we’re incredible! The owners, Steve & Crystal are the nicest people you’ll ever meet as well. This is a must stop in Kelowna!

Intentionally went for lunch after reading reviews and did not disappoint. We wanted something authentic as we had traveled from uk and this was it. Grilled cheese sandwich and hamburger soup was delicious. We shared a portion of the soup as we were a little unsure but should have got one each as it was amazing. The lady even brought us over a free bowl of a different soup for us to try which was equally as good. Very welcoming, clean and good food.

We brought our family of five for soups and sandwiches and we were truly impressed at the quality of the food and the friendly staff. There was something for everyone to enjoy. Our teenager boys gave their Philly steak sandwich two thumbs up while the youngest one enjoyed his grilled cheese with side salad. The portions are pretty big. We would definitely this sandwich shop for a healthy, delicious lunch!

This place is truly a gem. Homemade food, over 300 different homemade soups, baked goods and sandwiches. Crystal is passionate about her food and her restaurant. We had food you don't get anymore, it is truly a delicious experience.

The food is incredible, and the customer service is beyond anything I have ever experienced before. The staff makes you feel like family. They immediately remember your name, take in interest in how you are doing, and are consistently rays of sunshine. Seriously, if you are having a bad day, go here and you will leave feeling better. You can tell that they are passionate about making everyone feel welcome and loved (and well fed!). 5/5 doesn't capture how great this place is. 20/5 for me :) (My favorite is the turkey cheddar sandwich on sourdough!).

Amazingly warm service, comfort food made from scratch and speedy, the best soups I've had in the Okanagan - just like mom would make, great fries, and sandwiches big enough to feed a lumberjack. Even veggie options for most things! The team is hard working, and the little gem is always busy for a reason!
They're still open during covid, for dine-in and takeout. We were lucky to get a seat for 3! Only a very short lineup at the door, both for people waiting to be seated and for take-out. We got there at noon but things moved fast! Worth the very short wait.

My friend Julie and I have chosen Little Hobo for our monthly breakfast catch up date. The food is always off the hook-my favorite is the Blackstone Benny but loving the avo benny too. The cooks and wait staff are always so fun and friendly and being located in the downtown core of Kelowna the clientele is varied.

Came here with the family to have lunch with a colleague. We came at noon on a Tuesday and by 1230p it starts to get busy. They close at 2pm so only open for a few hours on the morning and lunch time.
Food was really good. My daughter has the bacon cheese burgerwith Caesar salad and she said it was excellent. My son had the grilled cheese. They have a promotion where kids get a free small soup. We chose the vegetable soup for him. My wife had the medium chili. That was tasty and great portion. I had the BLT with Caesar salad - yummy.
Staff were all so friendly. Came around multiple times to fill our waters and see how we were doing. At the end of the meal they even gave my son a bag of cookies. They really go out of their way to show their appreciation that we were there. Will definitely go back.

The food has a very homelike feel and the service is extraordinary. We had the daily specials, tuna melt with butter chicken soup, and my partner had the meatloaf. The food was delicious and hearty. We ordered some fries to share and I dipped my fry in my partner's gravy, so tasty. The server saw me do this and brought out a dish of gravy. This place goes above and beyond. Highly recommened!

Our time at the Little Hobo was exceptional. We got the perogies (made specially on Tuesday), the Reuben, and the borscht. We couldn’t stop licking our lips and raving about each bite for the whole meal! The staff were friendly and engaging the entire time. We will be back as soon as we can for more delicious meals! Everyone passing through Kelowna simply must go to the Little Hobo!
