We stopped off for a quick lunch between wine tastings on our vacation. We weren’t sure if they were open as there didn’t seem to be any signs of life when we opened the door. The inside of the restaurant was in total darkness at...noon and we could not see any staff. We walked further into the restaurant and saw a table on the patio that had customers seated so we walked out to the patio. They should either have lights on or someone inside the restaurant. We just shared a pizza for lunch. It was not one of the better pizzas that I’ve had. Service was okay. Prices were average. We would not stop here next time.More

We went for an early lunch with our kids (1 and 3) and asked to have a side of fries delivered as soon as possible to stave off their hunger. It was the fastest order we've ever had, and held the kids over till the...mains arrived! And the rest of the food was amazing. Best butter chicken I've had in BC. And as a final touch, I left my wallet behind, and our server managed to flag me down in the parking lot. So grateful!More

New owners the bunkHouse have really done a nice upgrade to the inside, looks clean and fresh, nice bar area. NO smoky smell anymore. Had Indiana food, Fish Pakora, tandoori Chicken, Palak Paneer, steamed rice and Peshawari Naan ( usually found in UK) Excellent tasting...food, would definitely recommendMore

Just had our 1st take out from Bunkhouse Desi Junction since the change over to Indian cuisine and we are extremely impressed. We had 3 different main dishes and all the sauces were very flavorful and distinct. Generous portions, lots of nice chunks of chicken.Vegetable...coconut curry had a great sauce, could have used more vegetables but that really is a minor complaint.In all we were very happy. Pakora were also very tasty. We'll be back to try more of their exciting menu.More

The large stone fireplace & roaring fire give the feeling of a cozy cabin. The staff are always friendly. The food is average; prices are very reasonable. They have a good Chinese Buffet on Sunday evenings.

The starter salad had stale Parmesan and even staler croutons. Ordered the schnitzel. Uninspiring gravy mix. Ambience. Well Smokey fireplace was a lovely smell but imagine it would be really hard for those with breathing difficulties. Luckily we weren’t. Seen other equally uninspiring Chinese dishes...being delivered. Service was good however.More

We have visited the BunkHouse three times now and had great home cooked food with lovely service. On Friday there is a Prime Rib special which is delicious and we can definitely recommend it. On tonight's visit the two piece fish and chips was a...delight and fantastic value at $12.99. There was a huge log fire and we were fortunate enough to get the table directly in front of it. Best thing was the service from our bar tender, Janet, who was a lot of fun and someone who can control the room with her quick wit. In fact on the three occasions we have visited, the staff have been first class and the service was exemplary. This restaurant is not high end in any way but the honest home cooked food and decent service make up for any deficiencies. They also do some decent Chinese food which isn't going to win any medals but is always well appreciated by their customers.More

We drove by this on our way to the Myra Canyon trestle ride and decided to check it out. It's definitely old but interesting history and we love 'quaint', unusual places! The cocktails were great and we were surprised to see the 'Chinese' options! Everyone...around us encouraged us to try to Chinese and we did! We ordered the full dinner with spring rolls (delicious), almond/cashew chicken and vegetables with rice. My husband loves the hot dipping sauce for the spring rolls so he concocted a horseradish and sweet sauce together and WOW! it was something! He should bottle it! The food was hot, tasty and 'huge' portions! We have a full dinner that we took home. We will definitely visit again. Great food and inexpensive!More

This restaurant seemed to be originally an old house, with add-ons here and there. Lots of eclectic furniture and memorabilia....no real theme that I could see, though. We went with friends for brunch...Two had Chinese food, and two had breakfast. Waitress mixed up our breakfast...orders, even after asking us as she delivered them to the table. I got 3 slices of bacon, and two pieces of toast, even though I had ordered, and confirmed for her 2 seconds earlier, that I had ordered the light breakfast. My hubby got 2 slices of bacon, and 1 piece of toast, when he ordered the regular breakfast. We had both ordered the eggs over-medium, and they seemed like they had barely touched the frypan; all milky and runny...Yuck! The other couple said the Chinese food was just okay...nothing to get excited about. We sat near the gigantic rock fireplace, and yet the restaurant was still cold and drafty. By the end of our meal, we smelled like we'd spent the day sitting in front of a camp-fire, because the fireplace was so smoky. This is a "sports-bar" type of restaurant, so there were numerous TV's scattered about. The restaurant was very empty at the time we were there, and there were no other customers in the section we were in. One of our party asked 2 different waitresses nicely, 3 different times, if they would mind changing the channel on the TV in front of us to the curling championship that was occurring. "Oh, no problem" was the answer each time, but they never followed through. He finally got up and walked over to the TV to see if he could change it himself; finally one of the ladies remembered, and came over and adjusted it to the requested channel. It certainly wasn't like they were busy....We and another table seemed to be the only customers in a pretty large facility. Not sure that we will return to this restaurant....not one of Kelowna's finest!!More

Hit & miss with their Chinese food....have ordered it half dozen times, 3 occasions it was hot & fresh excellent taste, 3 occasions barely eatible, tasteless, warm not hot, seemed like it was leftovers. Service also leaves something to be desired......will not be ordering a...7 th timeMore

However, food was void of flavor bland , tough and undercooked, ordered prime rib end cut and med well, was served med rare, as another in our party ordered the same but med rare and was served rare. However we may try again and other...food looked okMore

Went there for wings a couple weeks ago. Absolutely delicious. The girl serving was funny and efficient.
