A par 3 and 4 course that can be walked in 3 hours. Popular with seniors especially early in the day. The course is not is super shape - some of the tee boxes had no grass left on them - but it's inexpensive and...fun to hack around. The restaurant, Brookside Grill, is very good. We had burgers and sandwiches after the round and the quality was well above what you'd usually get at a golf course restaurant. Will come again.More

Updated review in, (Oct 15/19)... "The Bad and the Ugly"...(went from 2.5 stars last time to now 1!) We decided on a day off to golf at Michaelbrook yesterday and we could have chosen anywhere honestly but wanted to also try the steak sandwich deal...after as I clipped the info out of the newspaper as a reminder. The food at Michaelbrook is top notch please know. Upon check-in I was NOT told that I would have to pay again for a cart after 18 holes when I paid as golf was unlimited for one rate and was bluntly told by another rude guy in pro shop after playing 18 that I could pay for a pull cart after paying $17 for a cart on the side originally! That is the rate per seat. He could have easily been much nicer about this and offered a pull cart at no charge or just let me use power cart again as wow such a cash grab! There were almost all the carts sitting there not used anyways! That was such poor awful service. The tee boxes all unseeded and a mess as usual, so muddy, and not one ground under repair sign anywhere and where as tons of the course needs attention and are easily a ground needing repair situation and so darn muddy and big time wet. This course I find so cheap to the max to their guests and not player friendly! Not very good course management at all evident and seems like a just taking the money and running. So that was my very last time playing there cause so many other better options. Until new management in place! I really like the restaurant side of things so a real shame this is. I have told so many about the restaurant and how nice some of the staff are and how good the food is and the specials are top notch. Many have gone for their first time cause of me! BUT the golf course needs new greens-keepers big time and new employees who care!!! Not on top of this at all! Time and time again this course just suffers so this was really it for me. I felt zero worth being there yesterday and after I shot a nice 1st 18 holes too. We just left after that and did not eat there as planned and did not have a beer or two there so just money lost NOT cared about! This will be a copy and paste sadly and many do read these reviews please KNOW! Especially very honest ones! N.More

Men’s night I had the special two weeks in a row after golf consisting of a steak sandwich and fries. Week one the steak was shoe leather and way over cooked. Week two it was cooked perfectly and the steak was excellent. I have eaten...here over the span of about 4 years and every year is different. Possibly a lot of staff turnover? Anyways, in its current form this restaurant is a bit inconsistent on what comes out of the kitchen. Front of house staff have always been good as had the service though.More

The night we went, Saturday was not at all busy. We made reservations and when we arrived there was only one other table occupied. The waitress was friendly and the service was good. Pretty standard food.

Stopped in again after a round of golf and ordered the smokehouse burger. Service was quick, food was hot and prepared well, but I miss some of the scratch made items from years past. While there was nothing wrong with my meal I do get...the sense that the house made items have disappeared and replaced with regular Sysco/gfs freezer items...anyways, the burger was good and the pricepoint is decent. Clean location with lots of seating and servers who know what they are doing.More

Like a previous reviewer, I was looking forward to the new chef’s stamp on this very pleasant setting restaurant. He came with great culinary skills and the food was “good” for lunch. However, the menu choices...hmmmm. Was actually having difficulty finding what to settle on,...to be honest. I felt the sandwich choices were limited, in particular, and a bit uncreative. Portions good; service friendly and attentive. Would like to see some different menu options as it’s worth it for your patrons.More

Have visited this place a few times and have always found a nice atmosphere and pretty good food and service. This time though we had heard good things about the new chef who had come from a popular place in downtown Kelowna. Expecting too much...might have been my mistake as I saw no real difference. I do have one specific complaint though. It used to be every chef seemed to think we all liked garlic & I would have to peruse the menus in detail trying to find something with no garlic. Now they have ditched the garlic and replaced it with spice. After carefully looking for a non spicey dish, I settled on an appetizer of spinach & artichoke dip with Parmesan flatbread. Sounded good at 12.95. Well I was disappointed when it was too spicey to eat. My friend had liver & onions (18.25)which she liked & others had wings. No complaints there. This is a place that entertains a lot of seniors after golf or just on a night out so it might be a good idea to tone down the spice. Just sayin.More

The fish tacos were fantastic! There were 2 tacos each filled with the biggest solid piece of beautifully grilled fish I have ever seen in fish tacos. It was tender and lightly coated in a nice spicy aioli and coleslaw. I would go back just...for the tacos! Nice setting next to the pond on the golf course too.More

We, a group of five chose to eat on Friday night at Michaelbrook. The waiter was very pleasant and the food was okay, but we were caught off guard when we looked about at 8:05 p.m. and realized that we were the last in the...restaurant and felt it was time to leave. Granted they have an early start to their day with golfers, but if you are looking for a place to go to have a leisurely laid-back evening, this is not the place.More
