Love the interior... very eclectic. It's a real treat eating there. Food is great. I usually have the fish and chips but lots of other great dishes to enjoy - home of deep fried ice cream.

First the positive- this is a small restaurant with lots of character. The server was friendly and tried to be helpful. However, we struck out twice with out of stock items on the menu, including salmon! We came for fish and chips but discovered the fish pieces were small and served on top of a plate full of chips. The... More

My friends and I were originally interested in this restaurant because of it's location and interesting decor. The waiter was pleasant and attentive. The horror came when we received our seafood selections as basically badly deep-friend and unseasoned lumps that left us feeling heavy and sick from the solid grease for hours afterwards. The "Pirate Chips" for which the "restaurant"... More

Big group for lunch, all orders correctly taken and food arrived promptly. Delicious fish and chips with fresh coleslaw. French waiter was awesome, very accommodating and fun for the kids! Probably not a health food restaurant with many items deep fried, but there was plenty options and the food seemed fresh. Thanks for a great lunch, where we could enjoy... More

We ate there as a family. The food was ok, but the salad is ridiculous. The additional toppings are very expensive. The fish and chips are wonderful, but other things on the menu range from ok to bad. Our service well we were there was awful. The amount of stuff cluttered around the restaurant is strange. It's pirate themed as... More

The staff and owner were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately we all had cold fries but the owner gave us a deasert to make up for it. Other han being cold the fries were good. The fish pieces were a bland but a good size and the batter was light. The restaurant is a cool place to visit. Loved the... More

We loved this place! It's completely overboard with the pirate theme. Welcoming, tasty and fun. The poutine really was as good as they say.

We had a great lunch here on Friday. The food was good , the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and quick on their feet. This is a very kid friendly place with an area for the kids to play while awaiting the foods arival.

Like the theme, goes well with the great poutine! Staff is always super nice. Like the pirate stuff on the walls. Very recommended if your checking out Nanaimo. Buy a T-shirt!

Finally went and tried this place and was not disappointed with the food being English we are fussy about fish and chips lol and must say these were excellent. Large portion nice crunchy batter with great fries. Can't wait to go back and try the fried banana!
