It was a hot day but it was quite pleasant there with lots of light but not too warm. The setup was beautiful with both outdoor and indoor seating. The menu was not extensive but every dish we ordered was tasty and well presented. There...was only one server but she did her best to look after every table. It was a very lovely experience.More

My husband and I decided to try the lunch at the bistro after hearing our friends give wonderful reviews. We were not disappointed! The location, at the tennis club and on the edge of Westwood Lake is beautiful with large trees and an extensive patio....There was only one table in use apart from ours, and we chose to eat inside, in the large airy dining room. Our server was excellent and attentive, showing no signs of boredom with such a small clientele. I had the Seafood salad which was lovely and fresh, ...a large helping of seafood on the plate! My husband chose the smoked salmon fettuccini, which he found delicious. He spent quite a bit of time making sure that he had every last drop of sauce. Both our dishes were served with wonderfully fresh garlic bread. We shared a slice of creamy blackberry cheesecake with a garnish of whipped cream. It was sublime. The prices were really reasonable for the dishes that we had. We will definitely be back. We did look at the dinner menu, which was larger and more varied. High tea is also available at times, with most of the baking being done by the owner. This place is a real gem!More

We walked along the lake and entered from the rear at about 11:30 with no reservations. We were seated on the deck under a couple of umbrellas and the server advised us that she was the only server and the kitchen was short-staffed so service...might be slow. No problem. We ordered Fish (1 piece) & chips and Stuffed mushroom caps and ciders. The drinks came fairly promptly and we enjoyed sitting and talking. When our food came, it was very good. Just a light batter on the fish and lots of seafood and cheese on the mushrooms. Service, food and ambience were good.More

Recently visited Picadilly Bistro with some friends for High Tea. I was looking forward to it as it I really enjoy a good high tea, and have tried quite a few others on the island. The price seemed very reasonable, $40/person. We arrived and were...offered mimosas, which were included and I though was a nice touch. They had a non-alcohol option for kids which was also nice. The servers were attentive and quick to refill tea pots and water glasses. The presentation was what you would expect for a high tea, and the plates were filled with a mountain of food. I did find some of the food sub-par from the standard, especially as I have heard nothing but raves about this place and the 'home made' pastries and desserts. I do understand the time, effort, and cost that go into preparing a fully home made high tea. A lot of the pastries that 'appear' home made are not, and are mass produced and come out of a box to be baked, but I guess that's what you get for $40/person. A couple of the scones served to us were over baked and very tough although they tasted ok. I definitely would not say this is on par with The Empress or others, I'm surprised other people would say that. But, that being said, you won't find a high tea for $40 literally anywhere else. We did not eat off the lunch menu, but the food that was being taken out to other tables did look quite good. I would visit again, being better prepared for what to expect.More

We were so happy to finally try this bistro . Susan our server was friendly and offered us amazing service ! The food was great and prepared as we requested ! It was nice to enjoy dinner and a glass of wine in a place...that wasn’t noisy or dark ! We had a relaxing dinner , not rushed out the door for awaiting people which we appreciated. I would definitely recommend this bistro if you are looking for a place that you can enjoy a lovely meal and hear the people you are with!More

I went to visit a friend on Nanaimo last Thanksgiving weekend. A few people mentioned I HAD to go try their high tea. The bistro is a hidden jewel. The place is cozy and it has a beautiful view surrounded by trees. There was a...miscommunication and I was unaware that for high tea you must book the menu and pay ahead of time. I still enjoyed their wonderful service and my little girl and I had tea and a delicious lunch. We were taking pictures of ourselves with our fascinators (had dressed up in hopes of high tea). To our surprise the chef personally came out and greeted us when she heard for us it was a special visit as part of our trip. She managed to prepare some high tea treats for us on the house given the situation. Such a lovely gesture so we could still enjoy the visit. I have to say the pastries were A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! Truly a lovely experience. We will definitely go back. 100 stars for them!!!More

Food is great, we really liked the garlic cheese bread and salad that comes with the meal. The meals were generous portions and enough for a second meal brought home.

Went here on a recommendation from a Co-Walker and was totally enthralled. The surroundings are magical, the grounds immaculate, the inside of the restaurant lovely and the food good. Go in time to walk a part of the lake adjoining the property.

My girlfriend has been trying to get our group to Piccadilly Bistro and we made it fur my birthday. The location and setting is gorgeous and the bistro is super cute. Our service was certainly lacklustre; ordering a bottle of Villa Teresa Prosecco to share...and we were served La Marca opened without asking if the substitution was ok. Our server then left it on the table and did not pour our first glass...it also took two of us to get the bottle out of the chiller to actually pour a glass for all of us. (?) The food was ok, somethings were better which is fine...I would have like a little more oomph in my clams but I will go back for the stuffed artichokes or the seafood salad! Hoping service was just a one off and may go back to give it another try!More
