Have never been to the restaurant, just had delivery. Food is tasty, definitely recommend the Shrimp spring rolls and chicken chow mein. Delivery is quick. Driver follows covid guidelines.

We enjoyed five bowls of dim sum and one vegetable chow mein. The price came to $49.89. Quality is ok, not great. The quantity is nice. The atmosphere is 4 out of ten. Service was friendly. Immediately after eating the food, I got a headache...which is indicative of heavy MSG use. I forgot to ask. My fault. The scallop and prawn dim sum was particularly good.More
I drove by this place a few times and decided to give it a try and glad we did because the food is pretty decent and very comparable to many other nice restaurant that you will find in Vancouver or Richmond. The food has great taste...and the service is ok .there is free parking at the rear of the restaurant as to pay parking in the front. I would certainly recommend you try this place if you are around this place.More
I’ve taken quite a few of my friends and family for lunch to this hidden gem of a restaurant. The dim sum is as good as your find in Vancouver but with the convenience of being in new Westminster. The restaurant is humble but the...service is prompt and good. It’s right on a bus line so easy to get to. I haven’t had any dim sum there I didn’t like. But in particular I like the har gow and the mini sticky rice wraps and the shiu-maiMore
This month, I had my best dim sum I had for years in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, when I was introduced to the Spring Garden Chinese Seafood Restaurant in New Westminster by relatives. The price was reasonable, so tantalizing and the quantity of food was...a good size! The two orders of rice rolls were packed with beef and the other with pork. Their mini Sticky Rice Wraps was tasty. And you cannot go wrong with the traditional Asian vegetable ( gai lan in oyster sauce) to balance out a Chinese meal. For my favourite, I would have to say that it is the deep fried pepper salted squid. I am not one, who have acquired at taste for stewed chicken feet in black bean sauce; but they were so good that my two guests had to have their own dish of chicken feet. I must apologize for having started eating before I realize that I had forgot to take one of the pictures. Apparently, there is a nice dent in a couple of dishes that were already served to our table. As soon as the doors opened at 10:00 AM or family were only the 2nd group group through their doors. Coming early, we felt like we were getting personalized service! I would recommend weekdays to avoid the crowds!More
My family comes here a few times a year for dim sum. The dim sum is usually solid and priced fairly.
$ 4.25 for 3pc Steam BBQ Pork Buns $ 5.25 for 5pc Steam Shanghai Dumplings $ 5.50 for 3pc Tobiko Prawn Dumplings $ 5.45 for 3pc Deep Fried Prawns Spring Rolls. $ 8.25 for 12pc Deep Fried Prawns with Peppery Salt. Fabulous cheap prices. Very...delicious yummy authentic Chinese Dim Sum and they also serve full menu Lunch & Dinner. Lots of parking in back. Very clean restaurant. Very good service. It a must if you visit Vancouver ( but this is in New Westminster but for my over 3000 followers around the world). For you lucky people in New Westminster that have not try this. You must try.More
Had a mother & daughter dim sum lunch. Decided to just go to a small restaurant for dim sum. Maybe it was not a good idea, we usually go to Kirin but It was a last minute decision. Food was ok.... not much to harp...about. The spareribs in black bean sauce was tasteless. The prawn dumplings were so-so, prawns weren't fresh. Siew-mai was ok. The custard buns were probably bought from T & T.... we will not be going back there again.More
We have been eating here for a long time and as the title says, as good as you will find. Come on the weekend and you will get fresh hand made dim sum. Highly recommend.
At my first visit in 2012 enjoyed friendly service and good well cooked fresh food but over the years this place went downhill and is never clean either. The food is often greasy and tasteless and what kind of unsanitary won tons are people eating...when the person goes from won ton to handling money and looking after children and taking orders with No Hand Washing in between ugh it makes me sick I have wasted at least 100 dollars trying to get another good meal but had to throw it all away it is horrible nowMore
I'm caucasian and I've been to many many Dim Sum restaurants in Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond. My family of 8 decided to try out this place earlier today and we left disappointed. As others have said the food was bland and uninspiring. The only thing...that impressed me was the plate of beef noodles which was a larger portion than I expected. The dumplings weren't great, the squid was a very small portion, and the prices were comparable to better restaurants in Richmond.More
Nothing to write home about really. I wanted to see this place first hand and wasn't very impressed. I came in through the back parking lot and it isn't very clean, is very crowded with furniture, nick nacks, etc. and outdated. It really needs a...facelift and a good cleaning. The food needs a lift too, as it's pretty plain and not the quality most Chinese places live up to. I was particularly disappointed with the chow mein. It tasted like noodles soaked in broth with a few onions thrown in. The staff was friendly and accommodated my order quickly.More
I live in a city with NO DIM SUM. Before retiring, I worked with a man from Hong Kong for 18 years, who showed and taught me all about this wonderful type of Chinese food. Now, whenever I visit a city where Dim Sum is...available, I seek out the best restaurants offering this fare. Spring Garden Chinese is a big surprise. It is a small family operated restaurant that offers Dim Sum six days a week (closed Wed.). All of the dishes are cooked "to order" which gives them the advantage of arriving at you table "hot", as opposed to the big restaurants which serve from "carts" wheeled among the tables. The "look" of the dishes is "hand made" verses massed produced. The taste of the Spring Garden Dim Sum is great, especially when comparing their dishes to exactly the same served elsewhere. The chef really knows this cooking style. The only negative is that the giant dim sum places tend to have a larger count of dishes served - but the Spring Garden's menu does offer more than 50. Pricing is very reasonable compared to some of the larger dim sum places I have eaten. I (we) managed two visits in a six day period.More
We ordered one Chow Mein (Chicken with Black Bean Sauce) and four selections from the Dim Sum sheet. In all, inexpensive - a little over $20 - and while one could hardly argue about the price, the quality of the food was not good and...it was not well-cooked. The Chow Mein was short of black bean flavour. The Har Gow, here poetically called Crystal Prawn Dumplings, were steamed too long until the wrappers began to disintegrate. Usually one of our favourites, the steamed Char Sui Bow were doughy, dry and lacked filling. The deep-fried Green Onion Pancake suffered from the same fate - crispy, but oily and with not nearly enough green onions to justify the name. A dish of Steamed Black Bean Spareribs was bland and more garlic and black beans still would not have disguised the fact that the pork ribs were not fresh. Overall, our experience was disappointing despite the efficient, friendly service. I suspect the lack of skill in the kitchen was at the bottom of our disappointment.More
