This is clearly a popular breakfast spot (it was VERY busy), and I understand why. Angelina's is a clean, bright restaurant with wonderful food and excellent service. They were able to accommodate 8 of us on a busy Saturday morning. Dietary restrictions and preferences amongst our party were 100% respected, the food was hot and delicious, the fruit sides fresh and flavourful.

We ate breakfast here twice while staying at the Inn at the Quay (which entitles you to 10% off your bill). Massive portions, well cooked, with an astonishing fruit side (we counted fifteen different fruits in the bowl). Thoroughly recommended. Would be even better in the summer because of its location right by the river.

Very popular mid-range place on The Wharf in New West. Always has a lineup waiting, and they take your name, and number and send a text when your table is ready. This allows you to visit the rest of the shops in The Quay while waiting the "Usual 20 to 30 minutes" for a table!
We were seated within the estimated time, and told our server about the delayed service on our last visit. . . He was shocked, and didn't know what to say, BUT, kudos to "Raul" because he made sure our meal arrived within 12 minutes of us placing the order! Since we watched the other patrons near us wait 30 minutes, AND MORE, for their food, we told Raul how much we appreciated his attention!
As for the food. . . there are lots of other reviews here that accurately tell the story, so we will agree with the ones that say this place is GREAT for food!
BUT, they still have a long way to go in the timely service department!

In general, it's always our goal to get guests seated and served as fast as possible however, during busier days such as weekends the increase in foot traffic can cause some delays which results in longer than normal wait times. Breakfast looked great, but was luke warm. Asked for the meal to be warmed up. Scrambled egg came back hot but everything else just the same, so breakfast (for me) was a non event.
Service was good and our server did try to help...
Just an 'off moment' kitchen wise..

Okay breakfast but not great - maybe 7/10. Overpriced - two eggs (seemed less), toast, a few potatoes, small bowl of mixed fruit was $21.00. No ice for water. I think there is better value to be had elsewhere - probably our last visit.

While we try to provide guests with a wide variety of menu items at various prices, we always serve guests with the largest possible portions filled with high quality, fresh ingredients which can sometimes reflect on our pricing. The hostess was able to find us a spot at the bar on a busy Sunday afternoon. Our server was friendly and efficient. Many who work in the Restaurant Industry forget that it is the Hospitality Industry. The food was excellent, proportions generous. Great attention was paid to the fresh fruit salad, including in January, fresh raspberries. Great location on the waterfront. Great to see an independent one off local business doing well.

Went for breakfast and the food was excellent, as was the service. Friendly server gave us our menus and coffee immediately and the food was served quickly. Decent size portions (won't be hungry until Thursday) and really tasty. The fruit bowl accompanying my eggs benny consisted of 10 fruits, all fresh and delicious, and this in the dead of winter. We have a farm and sell free range eggs. Saw on the menu that they use "free range eggs". Sure they do. Well they were nicer than our eggs! Go. Eat. You won't be disappointed.

We were staying nearby in at the Inn on the Quay (you get a discount if you mention that). Fast service - on our first day the local popo was in attendance (always a good sign for local food). We went back 4x over the week as this is hard to beat as a start to your day. The menu has a wide choice of foods, the coffee keeps coming and you're right on the quay, watching tugs work up and down the Fraser - fantastic!

I come here whenever I come to New Westminster to visit my son, a couple times a year.
Each time I come here, the experience gets better and better !
This trip my experience was made perfect by the exceptional service and friendliness of Elsa. She is so full of energy and smiles that it makes the whole experience great.
My Hash Pannekoeken was delicious (I always order a second poached egg) and the bottomless coffee was appreciated.
In addition to the good food, the view of the Fraser River and passing boats makes it a great atmosphere for brunch.
High recommend and can’t think of a single suggestion to improve !!

I'm not sure about the other menu items, a lot of the reviews sound good they have a all you can eat fish and chips and we thought why not ? The service was good considering that most were new and being trained by what looked like only one person who knew what was happening. but regardless the service was still good. If you are a fish and chip lover do not order the fish and chips, probably the worst I've had!

I, my wife, my niece & nephew had breakfast at this resto last Sunday and we enjoyed it. The service was fast, the server was friendly, the food was great, the coffee was really good, the prices were reasonable, and I liked the ambience. I ordered the Big Breakfast which contained 2 fried eggs, toasts, bacon, ham, & sausage and it was excellent. Please take note that there's lots of parking at the basement & park at the stalls where there are signs which say "For Hotel Guests". Always make sure to pay for parking & you don't have to show the ticket on your dashboard. Thank you.

Always a tasty and delicious place !
I try and stop in here on my bi-yearly trips to New Westminster as it always delivers a great breakfast or brunch.
This time it was the pannekoeken with bacon, onions and cinnamon apples. And a bottomless cup of coffee.
My server Andrea was outstanding with friendly service and a personal touch !!

We stopped here for brunch after a very pleasant stroll along the boardwalk. The most delicious and generous sized bowl of many different kind of fruit was served with my bagel and lox, I was very impressed. Nice patio overlooking the river and the service was efficient and friendly, We will visit again.

We just spent an hour and a half waiting for a table at this restaurant. Needless to say, we left because there was no end in sight. I get it that it's Covid, but there were several tables occupied by people who were ignoring the fact that there was a lineup and were picking at their food the entire time.
I blame them but I also blame the managers for not letting customers know that they are free to take their time and enjoy their meal, but to please be mindful of the fact that they have people waiting for the table. Don't they want to make money during Covid?

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with our wait times. This issue is something we are aware of and as a result, we implemented our weekend waitlist. With this system, we allow guests to call us ahead of time and get their names added to the waitlist. Once you arrive at the restaurant you should be able to go in almost immediately with minimal wait times.

Four of us went for breakfast and it was fantastic. Fruit bowl was fresh and lots of variety, the others had a savoury and sweet pannekoeken that they both raved about. Portions are generous with all the condiments available. Highly recommend and will be back again
