This busy restaurant seems to have a regular clientele from the neighbourhood. I ordered the Souvlaki Combo, which is 3 skewers of any combination of either Beef, Chicken or Lamb. I chose 1 Beef and 2 Chicken. It came with Pita, small Greek Salad, Greek Lemon Potatoes, Rice and Tzatziki. The Chicken Breast was tender while the Beef was slightly on the tough side. Both had nice flavour. The Greek Salad was ok and the Rice, Greek Potatoes, Pita and Tzatziki were very good. The service was very friendly and the restaurant was very accommodating to people with allergies or food sensitivities. Prices were reasonable.

Delicious Fresh Greek Food

Greek food is my fave and this restaurant lived up to my standards of good Greek cuisine. Roast lamb is my favourite and they really did a good job of cooking it here. My friend loved her dish too and we left very happy customers. This place was better than I expected and I'd highly recommend it.

I was in the Drugs store next door to pick up my medicines , it rain like cat & dog ,in the mood for a hot meal ,craving for lamb , so what is the best place to dropped in , they been in the same locations for few years now ,it is not a fancy place , it is family run , very clean , home comfort food , very affordable , the safety plan well follow , menu is not over size ,lot to choice , I order the Roast Lamb ,it is a shoulder cut ,well marinated with spices ,delicious ,and good portion , of course the Calamari for appetizer ,not greasy , only the Greek can fried it perfect ! I enjoyed the dinner this time lot better the my last visit ,,so if you looking a budget Greek food ,this is the place ! lot of mall parking !

Food Poisoning and 2 wrong dishes given on a large takeout ordere

You wrote a review 10 minutes ago Yianni's Greek Taverna We ordered around $110 of food in Jan 2025. The young lady was very polite and the ambience was nice. However we all got food poisoning and both the meat abd vegetable moussakazhad no bechamel sauce at all. It was lousy rice topped with an messy filling for both orders. I called on numerous occasions to relate the issue and a request for a refund for only the 2 moussakas not the whole 2 orders. The manager did not speakcto me at all andcfinally today he related via his employee that they will not refund us. I asked her to bringvthe matter up withcthe cook on duty on thecday ofcthe order and she declined my request. I told her that i will file a report with the food and safety board to inspect their kitchen. I am a retired 65 yr old Canadian with ample business experience and who eats out and orders at many restaurants locally , nationally and on a global scale. I have never heen treated so rudely and unjustly. I have contacted an inspector and am so upset. I give them a negative digit for their their rating.

We ordered their $45.95 dinner platter for takeout. Everything was delicious. Loved the roast lamb shoulder (really tender & flavourful), calamari & chicken souvlaki. Their pita was soft & went great w lamb & tzatziki sauce. Decent Greek salad, potatoes & rice. Dolmathes has never been our favourite so can't comment on its quality compared to others. First time ordering from Yianni's but it's now our local favorite for Greek food.

Waitresses harassed me by inferring I was a cheat

Dec. 18/23 @ 7:45pm. I am a woman in my late 60's, and I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for about 2 years. After how I was harassed tonight, I will never return. Staff on shift: Owner named Paul Waitress #1: Martina (took my money) Waitress #2: Kim (she said she was also the Manager). Since Kim was Indo-Canadian - I suspect Kim is not her legal name. My bill was $24.24 I went up to the bar to pay as usual - and a new waitress named Martina took my money. I have always given the waitresses there between $2. and $3. tip, and tonight was no different. I paid Martina in cash. I gave her:- (1) $20. dollar bill (1) $10. dollar bill (1) toonie I asked for a $5. dollar bill in change - stating the rest ($2.75) is for a tip. Martina gave me a $5. in change and I said thank you and Martina replied "thank you!" I went to the washroom and while in there - I noticed Martina opened the door - then closed it. She then came inside the washroom and told me that I short changed her and I owe her $10. dollars. I explained how I paid (see above) and the Manager Kim said they were not used to dealing in cash because they don't normally receive it. Martina came back stating - I only have (1) $10. bill in the cash register, and that came from another customer. When I spoke to the owner 'Paul' - manager 'Kim' got verbally aggressive - interupting and raising her voice loudly. I told her to stop interupting me, but she refused (what a nasty women - treating me like this). In the end - the owner 'Paul' said "I told you sorry" - but sorry came too late - and after I stated I will never come back here again. Kim was grinning (she was quite satisfied with herself) and she was giving me the snake eye as she sipped her drink. The restaurant was kind of empty (unfortunately for me) as people witnessing me being harassed and disrespected would have been bad for their business. I said 'Merry Christmas' and left. Kim (the East Indian waitress) called me a racist as I walked out - but I believe Kim is the racist and that may be why I was targeted for harassment in the 1st place. It was downright rude the way she yelled at me when I was just explaining my bill payment to the owner Paul. WOW - some people are so ignorant. Signed: Heather

Very casual Greek restaurant in Up town New Westminster , family run , meeting a friend for lunch , she was already got a tablet out the patio , I do not feel very comfortable about it , very small area social distance is questionable , but I go along with it , only one staff working , menu not over size , they also have the lunch and dinner special every day , Wow < the quality of the FOOD and Service completely different from my last visit , total like night and day !!!!!! new owner ? new cook ? my Roast Lamb like Lamb Stew , so dry , no flavour at all , like from the dumpster ! with my 50 years in the restaurant business ,I can tell right away , it is Microwave Cooking ! they must cooked whole bunch lamb shoulder's and freeze it . when a order come in BANG ! goes in to microwave , (why cut corner ! OWNER ) my friends Chicken Souvlaki also dry , the Calamari very greasy soggy in Greek restaurant ! unbelievable ! it may be the perfect scenarios for some , but not for me ,I do not care how cheap the price are ! I all way say You Pay What You Get ! for sure I will not coming back unless they improve the food quality >

Vegetarians the vegetarian lasagne is inedible. A bowl of tasteless tomato sauce with some sheets of pasta in it. If there were vegetables, I couldn’t find them.

Platter for two are not recommended due to the roasted lamb a bit dry. Not like when you order the regular roasted lamb. Service is a bit low only two server why???. Always many customer. Cost cutting???. Just don’t know why???. Why bother anyway it is the owner option. But if they want to improve better start put more people to work one more won’t harm them. Think about it.
