European flair with a local flavour! This bistro is not to be missed! We were lucky to call and get in without a reservation booked in advance! Highly referred to us by another local chef, we enjoyed the tasting menu which we added on the...wine pairing. Everything was perfect and it was easy to see that the server and chef were well seasoned! Can’t wait to return next year!More

Don’t miss this one, a very large building which is more like a landmark. A lovely small garden in the front, a good size showroom but unfortunately, no food available due to COVID 19. very friendly and knowledgeable staff AND, Hillside makes a fabulous Gewürztraminer,...it’s awesome. Buy several bottles! More

We tried the sample menu for two. Food was amazing, not too much, not too little. The wine pairing which we recommend was fabulous. We don’t care for port typically and we ended buying a bottle. Wonderful service. Highly recommend making a reservation.

We enjoyed a great meal after a long day of winery tours - loved that you could have a flight of 3 wines and that different meal options recommended pairings. Left full and happy!

We greatly appreciate this restaurant’s excellence during COVID. An evening of celebration was enjoyed on Hillside’s beautiful patio thanks to excellent service that was warm and welcoming.. The 4 of us chose the fresh sheet meant for 2 which was a lovely beef with a...generous plating of a mashed potato carrot medley that was expertly seasoned with a savoury green peppercorn sauce topped with crispy onions. We also chose the 6 shared plates meant for 2 each one delicious and unique. The server recommended that the 4 of us would enjoy sharing all these dishes as a group and she was spot on. As well, she brought two wine samples for us to test to help us chose a scrumptious jammy Syrah. During COVID businesses have to endure behind the scenes protocol pressures and customer’s insensitive and unfair expectations. While holidaying in Penticton we want to convey our appreciation to Hillside Bistro and the many businesses we visited to make our stay a memorable and happy experience. As well to the host and our sever you made us feel so special - we all remarked that you much love your job because it really showed. Thank you so very much.More

As I recall, dogs are not allowed on the patio - this is true in most of BC.
