Consistently good cooking of exotic and vegan fare. Satisfies conventional diners too, but you can find interesting Asian, vegetarian, vegan dishes here; atmosphere very casual, sidewalk patio pleasant, reliably good food.

My first time dining at the Wild Scallion. Moderately priced. Salad rolls were fresh and crispy; I enjoyed grain rice as a filler instead of the usual rice noodles. The laksa was more watery than I expected, and it could have had some additional salt and heat. A nice option for lunch on a hot Saturday.

When I lived in Oliver, I used to come down to the Wild Scallion occasionally. All I can say is "WOW!" The perfect spot to sit down and eat if you care about what you are feeding your body. Fresh ingredients, vegan and GF options, delicious soups and salads. The showcase up front boasts some tantalizing vegan desserts. The owner,... More

Stopped here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised with the choices. An unusual menu where you pick your main, add a grain (rice or mixed grains), a salad and a dressing. There are included options, but some are at an extra charge. You can have two half mains for an additional $1, which is a nice option. I had the... More

The Dream Cafe was closed. Wild Scallion was open. Fresh salad rolls with chicken were memorable. Yum!! Portions are very large and suitable for sharing. Really liked this place and we will return.

Great selection of curries, soup and salads, and everything on the menu is free of the most common allergens. I had a green Dahl with rice and although I generally like a bit more heat in curries it had a wonderful blend of spices and good flavour. A real treat for us was being able to order dessert (some places... More

Awesome food! Good size portions. Quaint little place! Nothing fancy but food and service great! I would recommend this to anyone who isn't looking for fine dining.

We arrived on a Saturday night for dinner. The place was not crowded, and we were served quickly. I ordered green lentil dahl with rice and green salad (alioli dressing) and my companion ordered tandoori lima beans with mixed grains and spinach salad. My dinner cost $13, his $18... was it really almost 50% better? The difference was spinach salad... More

My wife and I ate here last Sunday for lunch, good service very good food and a fair price, limited meat option as this is mainly a vegan restaurant.

Thank Chestunes
