We eat here often because we are always treated well and the food is good. And they don’t play music too loud. And we always enjoy ourselves.

Great spot for food and wine on a lazy afternoon. Service is awesome, ask for Tim. Funny , Friendly, and helpful. wanted to try everything on the menu.
The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. We went on Valentine’s Day without reservations and they worked with us to get a table. Definitely remember to get reservations. However I want to thank them very much for helping us have a perfect evening. The...food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I definitely will go back and recommend them highly.More
I asked Google where to have a romantic dinner in Penticton. The place is the Wine Cellar Bat and Kitchen. My wife and I went there for our maple. It also has a fine selection of wines. They offer Happy Hour before 5:30 pm. We...enjoyed their house wine - Gehringer Brother's Desert Sun. Its subtle flavors added to our dining g experience. Our knowledgeable server, Laura, advised us to the daily specials and favorites of the regular clients. For an appetizer, my wife electedbacon wrapped scallops in a Dijon maple cream sauce. The five of them were seared to perfection. Dipping the rustic toasted bread in the sauce created a heavenly taste. We then shared a side of fresh Greek salad with its Macedonian feta cheese. My wife chose the chicken Cordon Bleu which was one of the specials as her main. I chose the Seafood Pappardelle with its squi, mussels, and shrimp in a rose sauce as my main. Although the Dill Pickle soup special was tempting, we passed. We chose the salt caramel chocolate Genache and Creme Brulle to decadently finish our dinner.More
Fresh and flavourful. What a great find - extremely friendly and efficient waiter, great food and inviting atmosphere. Two of us are gluten free, but nothing was too hard for the kitchen staff. Very accommodating. And oh - the wine list was on point 💯
My wife and I tried to eat here last night. We had a hard time liking any of the food we ordered. The seafood cakes tasted like frozen fish sticks, The vegtables were burn’t beyond recognition, and the steak tasted like grease. Also the side...of mushrooms we had tasted off. I have been up all night sick from this meal. If you do decide to eat here I would be careful as to what you order. Maybe stick to the salads. The only good thing about our dinner was the service. The server was great. We will not be returning.More
We were greeted by a friendly young lady who seated us at the bar. Before we even got our drinks, the owner came out and without introduction or reason told us that we had to move. She was extremely rude and insulting, and judging by...her garb and disheveled look we thought she was just a rude customer. We reluctantly moved to the other end of the bar only so that a couple that arrived after us could have our seats. The owner continued to be rude to us and gestured at us with the crazy sign. Minus 5 stars!More
Visit with friends for dinner. Everyone else’s dinner was wonderful. I ordered a Lettuce Wrap, it was tasteless, with really runny sauce on noodles and bean sprouts. Asked for more sauce, which didn’t help as it just ran to the bottom of the bowl. Meat...was bland and not much of it. Sent the meal back, the lovely waitress was very nice and asked if I wanted anything else, which I declined as everyone else was nearly finished eating. I can understand its busy, and hard to get staff, and I could have put it down to a bad night, but they charged us for my dinner. Really disappointing as we have been before and enjoyed The Cellar.More
After completing our shopping in the downtown area, my sister and I decided to have lunch. We selected the Cellar Wine Bar and Kitchen as we haven’t dined here for a couple of years due to Covid. We opted to sit inside but our table...was near the doorway so we had a good of the street. Our waiter was very helpful but not intrusive. We enjoyed our beverage, a local beer from the Bad Tattoo called Coyote Blond. We decided to share an order of fish tacos. These were freshly made and very tasty. As we still had a bit of an appetite, we had dessert. I enjoyed a rich and decadent Sea Salt Chocolate Ganache while my sister had a New York Cheese Cake topped with fresh berries.More
Online reviews looked great. Photos looked great. Their website says they are open. Google said they are open. Called to see if I needed a reservation for tonight. Voicemail says thanks for calling, To make a reservation please call “some lady’s name” at #phonenumber. So...I do. Phone rings a bit then goes to voicemail. Voicemail says thanks for calling the Wine Cellar bar. Sorry to have missed you call, if you want to book a reservation, do not leave a message but call the restaurant at #phonenumber, which is the same one I called before. Figured they were too busy to answer so we drove by. Empty and dark. I guess they are closed? Either post your hours or leave them on the voicemail. Don’t give a number to call just to have them tell you to call back the other guy.More
The Cellar downtown Penticton offered us the most delicious food I've had in a long time. Jenna, our server, was professional and friendly while Chef Nick delivered a meal extraordinaire. Don't miss this long time restaurant whether a special occasion or simply a great meal....Thanks for making my visit special :)More
This unassuming little restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Penticton. The atmosphere is inviting and the staff are friendly, helpful and professional.
The Cellar was recommended by our BnB host, so we thought we would try it. BIG mistake. Our waitress was on another planet. She couldn't make eye contact, and made several errors throughout the evening. She was rude and flippant. She wasn't knowledgable about the...menu. Every question asked was met with, "I have to check with the chef."The roast beef arrived with no Yorkshire Pudding or horseradish. When we asked for it, we got the pat answer - I will ask the chef where the Yorkshire Pudding is. She charged two of us for a full bottle of wine rather than a glass, and when the mistake was pointed out, she angrily grabbed all the bills to take away and start again. The "chef" - isn't one. The food was really disappointing, and the missing Yorkshire Pudding was a disgusting hockey puck. The gravy could not save it. We complained, and the waitress brought it to the owner's attention. The owner tried to smooth things over by giving us four glasses of ouzo. We didn't need more alcohol. We would have been happier with a few dollars off the bill, which would probably have cost her less than wasting ouzo on diners who didn't drink it. All in all, just a horrible experience. And the pricing was way out of line. Our roast beef dinner was $39! I have passed along our displeasure to the BnB host, and now to all of you. There are plenty of good places to eat in Penticton. Do yourself a favour, and go elsewhere.More
The wonder was dismissive and rude. She also closed early without any warning, rushing us out the door. Half of the dishes we ordered were great and half were not. This is my 3rd try at this place - I won’t be back. Lots of...other fantastic places to eat in Penticton!More
Please don't go here!! I want to be able to get a table the next time I go out for a meal. Best food, excellent service, and worth every penny.
