Very cool place, apparently steeped in history. I appreciate the decor, lots of wood and amber lighting.
I had the build your own. Penne carbonara with mushrooms and garlic toast.
So close to a 5*, but waitress seemed indifferent and the garlic toast tasted like buttered toast with toooooo much garlic salt. Not real garlic butter. And yes I know the difference. Waitress said otherwise. Regardless. Toast too salty.
The pasta on the other hand was excellent. Sauce, mushrooms and bacon. Perfect Penne . Will suggest to my 140 colleagues at the conference. Just not the toast.

With friends working, I decided to try this spot out. I had heard good things about it... Especially their Birthday Meal Special.
Parking was easy... just across the street.
It wasn't overly busy at 6:20 when I went there. Seated at a table with view of the Leafs game.
I showed my ID, to get the Birthday Special, and also ordered the special Sangria.
The meal came quickly, and looked good.
I dug in... the first taste of pasta was undercooked, but just. The sangria was good, but too much ice.
The Meatballs in the Spag were big Italian size, but were just meat with no spices and little salt. Quite disappointing.
Neither of the three wait staff came to check on my meal... so I kept eating. Hard to comment on a free meal, but justified to try to set them straight.
Meatballs need flavor... spices, be imaginative.
The pasta needed to be cooked 3 minutes longer, and the sauce was too acidy.
I could tell you how to fix all that, but it's not my job.
Overall, an adequate meal that filled the hole but will have me bloated all night trying to digest undercooked pasta.
It was a valid attempt, just lacked follow through.
Thanks again for the Birthday Dinner that I didn't have to cook.

The ambience was very nice. That is kind of where it stopped though. The prices of their food and wine were unbelievable. My husband and I eat out quite frequently, so we do understand that prices have gone up quite a bit. But for the portions and quality of food we received, we didn't feel matched the price. Service was also just ok.

We were referred to this restaurant but will never return. We even privately messaged the manager from their website a week ago and have not heard back, hence why I am now formally publicizing this review. I always give a chance to fix a problem given that problems will always take place and it is how people deal in adversity and after human error that shows their true colours.
When we arrived, the hostess stated that there was a problem with the kitchen so even though there were a lot of tables, we had to wait 20 mins to be seated. No problem, it was nice for the heads up and we wanted to try this restaurant so we waited. We were seated and asked for the gluten free menu as advertised on their website. They don’t have one, just one other noodle option. Our server wasn’t educated on which of their sauces were GF except Alfredo.
For our other dish, we were actually so excited to find a true Italian style baked lasagna dish. So that is what we ordered, baked chicken, onion, and mushroom lasagna in an Italian herb cream sauce. When that dish arrived, it had a rose sauce and zero onions or mushrooms. When we advised the server, she apologized and said that she would remove the dish from our bill and make a fresh one for us. We thought that was a lovely response. But when they brought the second one, it did have chicken, mushroom, and onion but was in a full red beef meat sauce with chunks of beef. We just told our server and said to not waste food, we would just keep it and not ask for the actual dish we ordered again. This was under the premise that the server had said that they had removed the dish from our bill. However, when the bill came, the server had removed one chicken and mushroom lasagna and simply added it back again. I asked her before paying, I thought that it was being removed. She said, “…it was, but then added back”. I said so you want us to pay full price for a dish we still haven’t received? She said yes. We simply finally paid the bill and left. I messaged the owner/manager from the website and did not get a response at all after a week of waiting for even a simple apology. I would not recommend the quality of food, nor the service.

I honestly have to say I don’t typically complain and I didn’t complain at the restaurant and even gave a $33 tip.
Here’s the problem. The prime rib came out looking nothing like the advertised picture that lured us in in the first place. We asked for mediums rare to rare and the meat came out thin and medium to well done. There’s other places in Penticton that have fantastic prime rib dinners for around the same price, thick red servings with all the fixings, horseradish etc.
I think they should stick with the pasta as we have been in numerous times and the pasta has always been of great quality. They should get out of the prime rib.
Sorry

The lunch menu offers many pasta dishes at lunch portion size. Some are in pasta&side salad choices, others are "half portion" PLUS a side if you want it. the "hlaf portion" sicilian was still quite generous and was tasty. The caesar salads were nicely dressed. Friendly staff, great value

Great food, great service. Appropriate portions for great value. Menu is diverse- something for everyone. Party of 3 for lunch : 2 had the pasta & salad combo off the lunch menu, 1 had the happy hour meal special. All three were great. Nice atmosphere & music! Will definitely return next time we are in Penticton!

I brought a new friend to try the reasonable lunch specials only to find they don’t exist anymore. All the items are dinner priced and we are seniors who wanted a great meal like I’ve had many times before. Today was tasteless
, the Caesar salad was fresh but had no taste and the croutons that I could find were store bought without the usual wonderful garlic flavour. What happened? I will not be back.

The Pasta Factory is a great option if you're looking for a comfortable environment to have some yummy pasta with family or friends. The portions are large, you get a lot for the price. The food makes you feel nice and cozy. The drinks are tasty as well, I love the different sangrias!

One of the things I look forward to when eating out is enjoying a dish I can't make, or can’t make as good at home. So, when my homemade meat sauce, made from my canned tomatoes is better....I end up being disappointed with the restaurant. I had the lunch pasta combo with penne and meat sauce and it was "alright". My main issue was there was barely any sauce on it. I think pasta with barely any sauce is awful. The pasta was cooked well though, so that's why it still got 2 stars even though the sauce was almost non-existant.

Pasta at this place was delicious. My husband wanted a pizza but they've only had flatbread so he switched to pasta and we were not disappointed. We had the chicken teriyaki pasta and the chorizo pasta. Recommend them both! Friendly staff. They close the kitchen at 9pm.

Went to the Pasta Factory last night for a friends birthday. From the start the waiter was very rude, rolling eyes when we forgot to place a drink order. Very impatient and I felt singled out and put on the spot by this gentleman. There was multiple instances when he was unnecessarily rude not only to me but others as well. When I ordered the Spaghetti and meatballs he snarkilly asked me if I wanted just butter as my sauce (super random as the menu came with the “traditional meat sauce”).
Super disappointing haven’t been to the Pasta Factory in awhile and probably won’t be back because of this.

Food mediocre-overcooked pasta with very little, bland sauce.
Poor service-Only one other table occupied and waited nearly 10 min for waitress to greet us. When she did she acted like we disturbed her. Not friendly at all. Overpriced for what you get. Too many great restaurants in Penticton to waste money here again

We decided to have a Skip the Dishes meal, our first since all the Covid-19 closures and sad to say were very disappointed with our meal. I sent an email to them explaining that the Shrimp in our Build your own pasta was OFF! I wasn't asking for a refund or anything just letting them know as we dine there about once a month. It's been almost a week since I sent my email with no response from the restaurant. Sadly we will not be returning, in times like this you should be going over the top to ensure fresh, safe food is served.

We just happen to arrive in town on Monday night and decided to check out the pasta factory, the place was packed they had their Monday night passed a special on but we opted out of that. My husband ordered the spinach and crab lasagna I ordered smoked salmon with pesto sauce, we started with a Caesar salad and ended with cheesecake the meal was fantastic. Thank you to our handsome waiter, Dan, you made our dining experience 100%. If we ever make it back to Penticton we will definitely come back to this restaurant.
This restaurant was following Covid measures. 😁 Thank you
