When I walked into Theo's I remembered my trip to Greece. The decor and atmosphere were authentic. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us good advice on the food. The quality is consistent year after year. The lamb is my favorite.dish. The wine...selection is also very good. It is the perfect restaurant to eat when you visit Penticton. If you go I recommend making a reservation because it is a popular place.More

Excellent food and a great atmosphere. We can’t get Greek food where we live so we’ve come to Theos every time we visited Penticton. Their saganaki is particularly delicious as is their moussaka and the souvlaki. Servers are always very friendly and welcoming too!

Group of 15. All raved about their meals. Server was excellent with her service and recommendations. Beet salad was excellent with prawns.

Love the quaintness of this greek restaurant which has much history. I had a fun time checking out this place which is quite big and spacious as it has an upstairs area too. Its also very romantic with tables in little corners and very comfy...looking chairs. They even have a Juliet balcony complete with a little table and 2 chairs! Lots of knick knacks to look at, and I love the stairs. Food is good too but a little pricey. Service was excellent and Oshan gave us a history of Theo's. There are plants/flowers everywhere.More

I use to love love this place but it has gone down hill tremendously. The waitress was the best thing about the whole experience. The new owner is obnoxious full of himself and extremely rude, the food was horrendous, hard as a puck potato with...no flavor, the rice was plans as hell and the salmon main course is not made the same anymore again no flavor. Its like the cooks have never heard of Seasoning. It seems the owner is cheep and orders subpar ingredients! I had been going every year for 25 years but had not been in the last several. Had missed it and went back to extreme disappointment! I dont mind paying for good food this was not good food for the pice they are charging! I can get better greek food in a food court in the mall! Will not be back!More

We have been to Theos many times before and chose it again on a recent trip to Penticton. The service was good but we were disappointed with the meals. Never have I been to a great restaurant where you did not get a Greek salad...with your meal. I’m sure in the past this has been part of the meal here. Also pretty sure you used to get pita with the meal. We ordered three orders and ended up with three pieces. For a table of eight.More

So disappointed. The owner literally took a shrimp from our plate, and said he could because he was the owner. I was shocked as was our table of friends. It was New Years Eve, but this was not acceptable.

Nice decor, nice service, but the food was - well, blah. The calamari were bland and the breading too floury, the Greek potatoes had barely a hint of lemon, the rice looked like it had some sort of spice in it but I couldn't taste...it. The veggies were of good quality. The (overly thick) bechamel part of the moussaka was the best part of the whole meal, but the zucchini in it were not cooked down the way a typical moussaka has, and personally I would have liked more potatoes in it.More

Expected more given the ratings. Nice setting; like a covered courtyard outside a house. Wait staff nice, though my wife was not impressed with the young women hostessing. Food was sad. Food might have been acceptable in a food fair in a shopping mall, or...if it were very cheap, but it definitely was not inexpensive. Calamari batter lacked flavour. We asked for lemons to squeeze on top which helped, but the batter itself was doughy and lacked seasonings, as if the batter was simply flour and egg. I had lamb souvlaki. Lamb was nice and tender but again had little flavour. I'm used to having garlic permeate my Greek lamb and there was little or none. Carrots were too hard to cut with a fork, had to use a knife. Best part was the potato: soft, nicely seasoned on the outside, but again I expected flavour to permeate the potato but even here, on their best item, it was less than any Greek restaurant we normally frequent. My wife had moussaka and again it wasn't bad, the best part was the top but the vegetables inside huge sized and again the entire dish was almost unseasoned.More

What a fabulous evening we had tonight. Bringing young children to a restaurant is always hit or miss but Theo's has such a relaxed family vibe that it was a big success. The food never disappoints and it's excellent value. The menu is extensive and...feels authentically Greek in terms of herbs and flavours. There are some very fine vegetarian and vegan choices as well as a good children's menu. My grandkids were mezmorized by the belly dancer... Lots of fun all aroundMore

Theo's has been highly recommended from the Facebook food group so when we had the chance to visit BC area, we thought of booking our dinner with my folks. So, we did made reservation and when we arrived, it took a bit of waiting before...we got seated. The place was busy and a bit crowded. The tables are kind of small as their plates are huge. We have been to a Greek place in Calgary so we thought Theo's food must be good too since it was one of those restaurants in Penticton that is highly recommended. The Greek salad was good. You will never go wrong with Greek salad. We also ordered olive and cheese, a souvlaki for our dad, a soup that I can't remember the name, but my mum said it was good and the Theo's platter for 2. My husband and I ordered the Theo's platter to have a mix of different food to taste and to share with our folks, but we were kind of disappointed with their platter. The serving was huge but the only good with the platter that we like were the rice, potatoes and the lamb. The beef souvlaki was tough, and we didn't like the taste, even the Moussaka, it was too huge, but we didn't like it. My husband loves spinach but the spinach pie, he didn't like it much. He also like Dolmathes but in this instance he even didn't touch it. If ever we come back here, we will just order the safe ones that we like to eat like their lamb and the Greek salad, as their food is a bit pricey too. There was also a belly dancer at the time we visited the place. Their bathroom needs some cleaning too.More

I was craving a greek salad and wanted to check out the menu. The server was very rude to myself and the two ladies I was sitting beside. She also called another server to fill in for her for dinner and explained how upset she...was about being on service alone all day. I paid for my $17 salad, gave a tip and felt like I just went for an uncomfortable dinner appetizer…I wasn’t even asked what drinks I wanted and had to ask for water. Understandable that some servers are tired by 4 pm but it was just an experience I wish I didn’t experience solo.More

My meal was taken off the bill because I sent it back and couldn't stomach a replacement. The souvlaki was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Side vegetable was carrots and they were only half cooked. I ordered a cider with dinner...and it was served with a large glass of ice, a straw and a slice of lime, which is completely wrong. All the wine was atrociously over priced. And then the cringey belly dancer came out..she was trying to wrap her scarf around a 12 year old boy and was practically begging for tips. She didn't take several broad hints to leave our table.More
