Was up from San Diego to visit with my family this weekend and treated them to a dinner night at Theos Friday night. Service was excellent and dinner was fantastic. Have been going to Theos for many years now and never had a bad experience.....we all love the atmosphere, so warm and cosy.More

We walk into the dimly lit Theo's Restaurant and the cooking and the woodsmoke from the big fireplace smells so good. Our excellent server leads us to a cozy little table right by the fireplace. The owner's portrait still hangs above it. (We have been...coming here since 1990). Our server lights a beeswax candle for us and soon our wine and our meals arrive. Oh, wow. the flavours! So delicious - It is so nice to eat food that has been so thoughtfully and creatively prepared. What a treat! I can't wait to come back again!More

We ordered online for delivery. The menu was easy to view and had lots of gluten free choices, which is often hard to find. The owner of the restaurant delivered the food, and refused a tip! The food was delicious! Fresh hunks of feta cheese...and fresh greens for the beet salad, spanakopita was delicious, perfectly baked phyllo pastry, stuffed and tasty. We will be visiting/ordering again and again!!More

Unfortunately this place was disappointing. Food was over priced for what we received. Cold hard vegetables, souvlaki was tough. Service was just ok.

Wow. Been going to theos since I was 6. I'm so sad to see what has happened to this place. New owner is very arrogant, food is horrible, and I unfortunately won't be back.

SO DISSAPOINTED! Had 4 dishes, various souvalaki’s . 1/3 less Meat but high price, cold rice/potatoes and tiny salad, extremely less delicious than when THEO actually owned and operated this restaurant. The decorative vibe is ALL that remains. New owner “Greg” has managed to run...this place into the ground with his aggression towards customers. It is most heartbreaking to see long standing staff members leave due to his arrogance. I received four sub standard meals and was accused of wanting free food by “ Greg”. Do us all a favour and sell to someone who really cares about The Theo legacy and the delicious food we are all accustomed to! Tiring! Won’t spend my money here again.More

If you enjoy good quality food , don’t eat here. Restaurant was busy, grimy and dark. We were seated on the balcony. We were asked if we wanted mineral water which was fine. Looked at the menu, it was pretty big. We both ordered the...lamb , Medium rare. Mine with a salad and my husband with the usual sides. It is clear that everything is pre cooked. The lamb was not seasoned and overcooked, the sides on my husbands plate were a couple of potato slivers and teaspoon of rice. My side salad was good but really no dressing to speak off. We love Greek food , but I would recommend to give it a miss.More

At Theo’s, the customer is wrong. That’s the attitude of the current owner, who is also rude beyond belief. When asked about the overdone lamb souvlaki—which the kitchen couldn’t get right twice—he became very defensive…even accusing her of being rude! When a Greek restaurant can’t...get that most basic dish right, it’s on a slippery slope to oblivion. A shame to see this local institution go the way of ancient Greece…More

We have been going here for years and it still has friendly wait staff, great atmosphere, etc, but the moussaka was not the same. Are they outsourcing it? Otherwise great. Bring back the old moussaka recipe , puhleez

When I walked into Theo's I remembered my trip to Greece. The decor and atmosphere were authentic. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us good advice on the food. The quality is consistent year after year. The lamb is my favorite.dish. The wine...selection is also very good. It is the perfect restaurant to eat when you visit Penticton. If you go I recommend making a reservation because it is a popular place.More

Love the quaintness of this greek restaurant which has much history. I had a fun time checking out this place which is quite big and spacious as it has an upstairs area too. Its also very romantic with tables in little corners and very comfy...looking chairs. They even have a Juliet balcony complete with a little table and 2 chairs! Lots of knick knacks to look at, and I love the stairs. Food is good too but a little pricey. Service was excellent and Oshan gave us a history of Theo's. There are plants/flowers everywhere.More

Hello and sorry for the late response. We DO have an outdoor seasonal patio; however it is a licensed area and as such dogs are not permitted when the area is open for food service. The only exception would be a guide dog... More
