We booked into the White Goose restaurant as part of our stop over in Prince George. It did not disappoint. It is is a jewel within the down town region of Prince George. We shared a delicious crab stuffed mushroom starter and then enjoyed lamb...and salmon specials which were superb. Friendly and accommodating staff in a restaurant which is open from 5pm until it’s customers decide that they are finished and it can close. Perfect!More

Very disappointed. Advertised a seafood platter with small steak 130. As it was our anniversary thought this would be good. When we arrived it was on the menu as that and then the waiter came to us and said it was 28. more. Service was...very poor did not offer anything for anniversary. Over priced as a bait and switch. The waiter dropped us and sent someone else when he knew we weren,t impressed. Food was good but lobster was over cooked. And food was on the cool side. I will not return.More

This was our third visit to WGB, over a span of 4-5 years. It is now definitely OFF my go-to list. We arrived to an almost empty bistro, with the most horrible music and super-bright lighting, accentuated by the white table cloths, and made worse...by evil lime green accent walls and ceiling. We were seated at a tiny table floating in the middle of nowhere, not at all bistro-intimate. No nibbles or bread basket, candles or flowers, or water even. No salt and pepper. We ordered our drinks, which were good. DH ordered crab cakes and Cesar salad, I had beef dip with no bread, and was asked if I was celiac (I am not); still I was not offered a GF bun or lettuce wrap instead. Not five minutes later, our meal arrived! Which in itself should have been a red flag in terms of how our food was prepared.... it must all have been defrosted/ micro-waved. Hubby's crab cakes were enormous (but tasty he said) and heavily breaded with a large bowl of white tasteless dip. Cesar was pretty good. My beef dip was awful - barely warm, thick, grey, tough slices of woolly - tasting reheated beef, with a little side of what was supposed to be green peppercorn aioli, and a bland au jus. The fries were excellent. The salad was red leaf lettuce heavily drenched in a sweet dressing, yuck. Server never asked us how the food was, just did we need anything else, and seemed perfectly okay with the fact my meal was essentially untouched. She asked if we wanted it packed up, which we declined. Then she asked if we wanted more drinks, which was strange since we were only half-way through our first round. During the meal which was about 20 minutes, a delivery services person came and went at a steady pace through the middle of the dining area. Getting our bill required a visit to the kitchen where staff seemed to be busy chatting. I must remember to restrain us from anther visit; it is clear this establishment is okay with being just average. It's too bad they bill themselves as French/ gourmet though,More

This is a great spot for some really good carbonara. Was thoroughly impressed with the food, and can’t wait to get back and order again.

My wife and I just got back from dinner at the White Goose Bistro. Our expectations were not high. This restaurant is located in a dodgy part of town. And the curb appeal of the place is zero. But, all that goes away as soon...as you get your first taste. This place is all about the food. It is absolutely fantastic and well presented. The wine selection is first rate. And the service is excellent.More

What a quaint bistro in downtown Prince George. The Spaghetti Carbonara was very delicious and the waitress was so nice. Definitely will be back to try other dishes and recommend the White Goose Bistro to everyone who wants a great meal!

My husband and I tried the White Goose for the first time and I’m convinced my husband is leaving me for their crab cakes!! Everything was delicious!! Crab cakes and baked brie to start and omg what a start! Followed by the shrimp and scallops...for me (perfectly done and perfect portions) and the special for my Husband of steak and seafood manicotti in a lemon dill cream sauce. My husband felt really bed that he had to stop eating the manicotti (the food was fine, he’s just weird and has texture issues) and the service was spot on!! Huge props to the lady who was serving the dinning room AND pouring the drinks!! And not once did we feel neglected even though it was busy. Thank you for a wonderful night!!More

Four of us came here for a birthday dinner and were very pleased. Service was good. The dishes we ordered were also very good. Large portions. The appetizer of mussels was enough for two and almost doubled as a soup with the remaining sauce. The...Chicken Oscar was very good as well. Always a good choice of restaurant in PGMore

A nice, small, quiet restaurant. We were pleased to see a BC wine list! The baked brie appetizer was one of the best we've ever had. Our entrees were fine. Sadly, we were too full to try dessert. We definitely will return.

We were at a conference in Prince George and decided to try this restaurant. What a treat! Delicious, well presented, substantial portions made for a great night out. Waitresses are amazing. The chef is so talented. The ambiance is pleasant. The waitress went out of...her way to fit us in. The mains were awesome And the cheesecake was everyone’s favourite desert. We will book here again!!More

We love White Goose for all of our "quiet" celebrations. The menu is well designed and has a blend of European classics with North American twists. The staff is friendly, well-trained and well informed about the food they are serving. If you want a nice...evening of elegant dining, I would recommend this establishment.More

definitely no dress code, and that clearly applies to the wait staff. When we visited, there were people dressed in muscle shirts and shorts. Prince George chic.
