I asked for a gluten free menu, which you don't have and I can understand, however I have communicated to your waitress that I am on a gluten free diet. She just asked me to look at the menu they have and that she's unfamiliar....I ordered the prime rib which I assumed would be suitable as it's just meat and potatoes and veggies. But I didn't think the sauce was not on the side. The waitress who knew about my gluten free diet didn't care to mention that there is Yorkshire pudding with brown sauce mixed in on the dish. She served me that knowing that I had even requested for gluten free bread for the appetizer which she failed to bring out as she explained that the gluten free bread is still frozen.More
Visiting from out of town, I was lucky to get a last minute reservation at Winston's for Christmas dinner. I had the Salmon Wellington and it was unbelievably delicious. The whole meal was hot and beautifully presented. Portions were generous and everything was cooked perfectly....Service was top notch and no one in our party of three had any complaints. I will definitely eat here again on my next visit to Prince George.More
My wife and I were looking forward to a nice meal out, celebrating our birthdays and Winstons Resto Bar did not disappoint. We were thrilled to find out when we sat down that they were offering a Feature Menu, All of the items on the...regular menu looked really tasty but the Feature Menu was just what we were looking for. The starter was a fresh salad with pears, walnuts, avacado dressed with a blue cheese dressing. So good!! The main was a wonderfully tender roast lamb with mint on a bed of butternut squash risotto with roasted parisian carrots and brussel sprouts. The risotto was just melt in your mouth creamy and packed with flavour. It was all paired with a tasty Italian wine perfectly suited for the meal. Desert was a wonderful gelato with a berry compote and crumbled Oreo cookie. It was a nice finish to an excellent meal. The service was very relaxed, we spent 2 hours just enjoying the food, the wine, chatting with our server in a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!More
My sister & husband were celebrating a special anniversary & dining at Winstons was part of their special day. I called Winstons (from far away) to arrange to have a bottle is wine delivered to the anniversary couple. The whole process was seamless right down...to the server e-mailing me a copy of the credit card change. The service was greatly appreciated and was very good. Because I told Winston's of the celebration, the bottle of wine from us was accompanied with an appetizer, compliments of Winston's. Nice touch.More
We ordered take out dinner on Dec. 7th, 2020: Rack of Lamb with vegetables, Prawn Fetticuccine with mushrooms, Chocolate Lava Cake and Cheesecake. The food was delicious. There was enough Fetticuccine to make 2 meals for me. Laurie, the server texted us an up to...date menu and was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. She went over the special available Saturdays and Sundays for the Prime Rib special.More
We were celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. They covered our food and went out of their way to make us feel special. Very impressed with the staff!
Nice spot for breakfast, eggs benny were very good. The coffee comes in a good sized carafe so you’re never waiting for refills!
We dined at Winston’s a couple of times after it reopened, when COVID-19 restrictions were eased. The food and the service were outstanding, as always. They have introduced a few new items on the menu. They underwent some minor renovations when they were shut and...I could see that it made a huge difference to the ambience. so much brighter now. I also got to taste their exclusive ‘Wasabi white chocolate’ icecream that local vendor Frozen paddle has created for them. The ice cream was out of this world. One more reason to go back to Winston’s.More
Amazing! Been in Northern BC for four years, this is the closest to an english fry up I have found. Canadian twist Maple sausage !. For purists no blood sausage not really a thing here in Canada. You will not be disappointed.
We recently discovered this hideaway spot. The food is great and very reasonable priced. Their lunch specials are tasty and fast. The staff is also very friendly. One of the best place for a big bang for your buck.
Thank you for taking your time to leave the great comments and the 5 star feedback We are proud to hear that you enjoyed everything. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Had I known how fantastic this was going to be, I'd have taken a picture before I had already cut it in half! REAL salmon fillet, cooked perfectly. Juicy, and the flavors with the pickled onions, tomato and tartar just worked really well together. Brioche...bun... I'd order it again tomorrow.More
Reasonably priced lunch with decent choice/variety for soup/sandwich/salad selection. Fish and chips were great! Real chunks of fish with light breading/crust so each bite was predominately fish. Very busy with many seniors having lunch.
Having recently enjoyed lunch at Winstons after a extended absence, it was nice to see the quality and service have remained top notch. There's a variety of daily specials available, along with smaller lunch specials menu, for those who do not wish a full size...meal. Their Thursday nite Prime Minister I'd Specials are the Best Deal in town!!!More
Took our family of six. The service was very friendly and professional. Our food was awesome very flavourful and plentiful portion size. Price was comparible with other family sit down restaurants. We will come in again on our next visit to PGEO.
