The Steam Shovel is better than the Rockcut. The service is quicker, the food is more consistent, there's better parking, and they occasionally have live music. They serve tasty fries, and there are a few cool ghost stories that go along with the building.

INteresting and jovial place. Pool tables and local bar game - Neglin- enhanced the experience. Very good pub food!

We returned here 3 times in a week, good locals atmosphere, good happy hour but a good menu with great staff. Friendly and professional and a busy and bustling pub. See you again soon.

Had lunch there. No hostess or bartender. Just one amazing waitress working her butt off. Despite the lack of staff, she was very apologetic & attentive. We would have gotten cocktails to start, but since she was also the bartender, we opted for a pint of ale instead. (Very good Helter Smelter Amber). The chicken panini was pretty good. The... More

The food was good and it's obviously a popular location based on how busy it was on a Sunday evening. Service was only okay.

I've been there a couple of times and never strayed far from the burgers and beer. They have a reasonably good burger that might be a little pricey but what do you think your going to get in a resort town.

Looked good thought it was worth a try. Active bar Sean. Orders cheeseburgers medium rare but it came well done. Fries came with burgers and I got an order of French fries scraps. Pretty poor all around. I will not try again. Noisy

This place is not fancy, just to set the record straight. But, it is a terrific ski town bar. Good selection of BC and PNW beers. Many different burgers (I went with the John Candy, and it lived up to its namesakes awesomeness). They have some curry bowls and the like, so I think they can provide some options for... More

Great atmosphere and very good food. Worth a stop if you are in Rossland and 'need' a burger! Whether with friends or family, you will be warmly welcomed!
