I have been going to Sobo for years, I can't believe I haven't written a review before this. My favorite dish is the Seafood Bouillabaisse. I always buy cookies to go and soups to go so that I can enjoy Sobo food at home as well. I bought Lisa's cookbook and I can create delicious Sobo food for myself, although... More

Excellent homemade seafood (chock full o seafood) chowder and thin crust mushroom (many varieties) pizza with a bechamel type sauce rather than a Parmesan finish. Second visit.

Lovely room and great service. Friendly, kind. Great looking pies on display as you enter, had to cover my eyes when I walked out;) Have the fried oysters, they are perfect. I went for a late lunch, wasn't rushed, nice atmosphere, you can buy the art on the walls too. Wish I was in tofino longer so I could return... More

This is definitely my favourite spot for lunch in Tofino. The margaritas are awesome full of liqour theres a 2 limit! Polenta fries, cold noodle salad, tofu pockets and the enchiladas are a must. Decent prices always leave with left overs and a full stomach.

Sobo is a favourite stop of ours whenever we visit the west coast of Vancouver Island. On this trip, we stopped by for lunch and ordered the smoked salmon chowder, cornbread, and squash salad. Service was great and everything was amazing! Don't forget to check out the Sobo cookbook during your visit which features recipes for the items listed above.... More

Had lunch at Sobo. Delicious food, especially the smoked salmon chowder and corn bread! Also great cookies. Friendly staff and good service. Met the chef and bought her cook book. Wonderful!

we happened upon this place in the evening... not much else open unless you wanted to wait ages in line..... it had a nice soup, the fish tacos were great and tasty.. and the cookie dessert with a coffee was just right after a nice long walk on the beach, tired and not too hungry...... would recommend, maybe not if... Surprise ... it lived up to the hype. Meggan was delightful and helpful in wine paring .. Wine list has some nice surprises as does the menu. .

Lovely wood burning fireplace at the outside entrance to the restaurant. Beautiful local artworks on the walls. Polenta fries are so delicious. There were three of us and we were all happy with our meal choices. Did not try it but the key lie pie looked truly delish.
