On this trip to Vancouver my wife and I decided to try all the various donut shops in town and this was by far our favorite. Definitely try the Frissant - apple fritter and cruller are also good, sandwiches are great. We went back with...More

Okay, so a little backgrounder relevant to this review: During one of our trips to Las Vegas, my partner and I stumbled across a bakery that offered something called a "Cronut." I knew this was a donut-croissant hybrid, but we'd never had one before. Being...More

I came in for a very specific request; a local German pastry very few people have ever heard about. As expected, the owner and chief pastry chef had never heard about it. But they were very intrigued and went over the top to try to...More

After a pretty bad falafel experience at Nuba Cafe on East 3rd Avenue, I walked across the street to check out Swiss Bakery which I've read about on the internet. I wasn't in the mood for really sweet pastries so I bought a cheese scone...More

Have just had coffee and sweets, although they do have lunches as well. Everything I have had has been good.

It's called Frisant but known as Cronut... it doesn't matter as long as it's delicious! You can have Baby Frisants, so you don't need to miss the other type. Classic Vanilla and Apple Rhubarb... both amazing! Sweet bakery.

It was not a dining experience really. I picked up some chocolate chip cookies and an apple fritter. The apple fritter was so fresh that it almost melted in my mouth.

Okay drove past this bakery....and the awning looks old school but something pulled us in and it isn't old school at all. Small interior but communal but most importantly are the baked goods! A huge selection of real baguettes, jelly donunts, pastries, other breads...PRETZELS go...More

I go to the Swiss Bakery because it's close by. I have a guilty pleasure there and it is the chicken sausage roll. It's quite spicy, freshly made, and satisfying. They have lots of pastries, fresh bread, and those weird "Kronut" things that everyone seems...More

The Frissants are absolutely delicious, with the S'mores flavoured one being my favourite. They do sell out sometimes in the evening so go a bit earlier if you can.
