We were walking v to Granville Island Market and chanced on this place. Good old fish and chips, beer battered or grilled. I had the seared tuna and my wife had the salmon. Top it off with their fries. A great easy meal. We sat...More
Visiting Vancouver for the first time, and was on the look out for the best fish and chips. This is hands down the best fish and chips I've had in my life. It was cold and this place only has outdoor seating. We waited 25...More
This place is soooo good. By far the best fried fish I’ve ever had. The fries were also great- definitely seem like fresh cut potatoes. The staff were also super friendly and laid back. Will definitely make this a regular place whenever I’m in Vancouver.
This place is awesome. It has a relaxed, comfortable vibe and the food is awesome. The seafood curry soup was amazing. We loved the fish and chips. The fish was so fresh, and the frites to crispy and tasty. My kids were asking me what...More
This is the coolest outside eatery. You can see the bridges and the water and Granville Island. You eat outdoors but it is great. The curry soup was to die for and the fish was very fresh. A great "funky" place to eat
Excellent fish and chips. Very fresh. Nice batter. Chips are done well. Curry fish soup was Brilliant. Got a seat which were too few in number for how busy they are. Worth the wait but go off peak hours to miss the lines. Recommended.
Finally was able to have dinner here last night with my partner. Food was good, lots of fresh fries, cod was fresh & yummy. Tacones weren't anything special to write home about, a bit to wet for either of our liking. Curry fish soup was...More
Supporting local fishermen was never more easy and incredibly paid back than coming to GO FISH for a F&F order and a Taconna of Salmon! And absolute surprise to get this taste at such a petite spot! Superb!!

WOW! I am surprised to hear that the service was rated as poor. I have only been three times but I live here and it's absolutely great food. It's basically a take-out wagon and they have a 45-60 minute line-up at peak times, so perhaps this is where some of the negativity comes from. I really don't know. People have been impatient and pushy when I've been there but they have usually been spot on or early with respect to the announced service window - and they make an effort to make sure that everyone in their line is aware of this. If anything, I think their service is what one would expect at a take out window and that they work pretty damn hard in there.
Anyway, tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful here in Vancouver, so check on Google to see what their peak times are and go early when they first open or in the middle of the afternoon. I think my review said they are worth the wait, but don't go expecting any sort of service other than fast food/take out type. You're definitely going there for the food, not the service and if you're expecting some magical service then maybe you should skip it.
