The guys there were playing gangster rap which wasn't the best for the atmosphere. Had the cod and fries which tasted awesome and was super delicious. The evening however my boyfriend and I both had the worst stomach cramps and felt really a nauseous which was a shame because the food tasted really good at the time.

When we first moved to lower mainland we set out to find the Best fish and chips around. Our quest took us from North Van to south Surrey to Granvillle Island and even up the Vancouver coastline. Nothing came even close to Go Fish's halibut and fries. It has become a ritual for us now. As often as we can... More

With a great view of the marina, very fresh fish, crisp & tasty chips and decent prices, this is a great spot for lunch by the water. There's even parking! What's not to love?

On a very chilly day, we knocked back some fantastic tacones and fish and chips on this tiny patio while the wind whistled off False Creek. Super-friendly service, super-fresh food with no frills, but frills are not what you come here for. Generous portions of fresh seafood served outdoors with a view that can't be beat, at prices you'll love.... More

Everytime we come to Vancouver we come at least once to eat at lunch a fish & chips here. Fish is delicious, chips very good, staff enthousiastic, and environment is so BC beside boats on the wharf under surveillance of the seagulls.

I know this place is famous for its fish, and deservedly so, but those French fries are the best I've ever had. Set on the water, with only outdoor seating, this casual fish restaurant turns out amazing food and is well worth the stop / in our opinion the best fish and chips in an area with many competitors.

The food is fantastic. Anything you order will be great. A real Vancouver gem in a beautiful setting. The one thing to note: It can take forever to get your food. I was there today and it took 30 minutes for my name to be called. It would be great if the staff told you this when you order! I... More

We went a rather roundabout way to find this place and it was a cold day with a bitter wind but it was amazing! Sustainable sourced and caught fish-and you really can taste the difference! It was really wonderful! Not sure if our short wait is because the four guys serving were really quick or if it was because the... More

Fried fish at its best. Really great fish and chips, gotta say, best I've had. Had to sit outside and it was cold and raining (that time of year) but the little deck they had was covered. I like it.

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
