I love Irish pubs and visit as many as I can. This one has an authentic feel to it. Not a touristy, Dublin downtown feel, but authentic as in a country town working class pub. Friendly staff and patrons. Not a large place, but easy to find a spot. Lots of TVs with sports. Well worth a visit. Enjoy!

Our friends were in town to attend the Orpheum so we were looking for a pre-symphony venue for dinner. Thanks to TripAdvisor we found Johnnie Fox's Irish Snug. Don't be turned off by the nondiscript frontage and the fact that it's in a bit of a sketchy part of Granville Street as you forget all that after you go through... More

Wow amazing poutine... we are from Quebec and we agree it was one of the best bar poutine we had. And because of the long waiting time to be served the barmaid served us 2 shot of Jameson. Perfect at all points!

I love this quaint pub and use to frequent it a few times a week. They pour the best Guinness in town and the food is decent as well. Great place to grab a pint after work or a hang out with some friends. Beer prices are on the higher end but worth it in my opinion

We went here the other weekend as it was close to our hotel and we wanted to try an Irish Pub. I will admit from the outside I was a little nervous, as I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, I can say that we were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and found the over all place to... More

This is a nice little oasis where one can take a break from the hectic Granville Street scene. We visited twice recently - once for lunch and once for happy hour. We will be back. Note that they have a new door and glass window at the front from what is depicted in the photo. On one recent visit we... More

We visited here on a Tuesday dinner. It was surprisingly delicious. I had fried chicken. It was chicken fingers smothered in gravy on top of fluffy mashed potatoes. So so good. Hubster had fish & chips good too. The cold slaw included with both of our entrees was amazing. What a great surprise.

My friend and I wandered in here by chance. Great fun, real Irish feel, welcoming atmosphere, especially from one of the lads. A lot of Irish accents made you forget for a while you were still in Vancouver! Loved it so much, we went back the next day! Oh, and the food is excellent as well.

Fabulous Irish Pub. Tiny place packed and popular. Best Guinness in town and incredible staff. Great atmosphere. Super cod and chips too. Have been here on all my trips to vancouver.

A real Irish pub in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Food is top notch (I recommend the Yorkies, the beef stew or the curry chips), and the selection of Irish beers is wonderful. Most authentic Irish pub I've been to since moving to the west coast of Canada.

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
