If you like sushi or sashimi from your local restaurant you may not want to eat here. Once you have dined here and tasted just how amazing sushi and sashimi (among other great items) can be , your regular sushi place may come across as...“gas station” sushi and sashimi . I enjoyed their 7 course chef dinner menu and Madam the 6 course menu. Often it would be the same with just one dish different, but not here, to different menus. The service was very well qualified as both he and I had to protest boldly when Madam requested just a little soy sauce for one of her dishes. Everything was well balanced in taste and portions, presentation spotless and it was evident that it was just not competence at a high level, it was great talent and vision for great surprises to your pallet. Wine card was surprisingly good for a place tfat us normally not big on wine, and we found a great New Zealand Pinot Noir. All my worries about a restaurant that is located in a tourist area with nice views (which often compromises the culinary approach) was absolutely needless. Rather than listing some of the fantastic dishes I would rather leave that to readers for themselves to explore. If you can have doubt whether a Japanese restaurant is worthy of their 1 Michelin Star, Miku will wash that away with their first dish. Great place, great culinary experience and for the overall taste experience actually very reasonably priced.More
