Very good food, good environment, solid service, staff communicate well, often have advice about city sights and events when asked. Favourite dosa is a cheese dosa with cilantro and garlic, dreamy and good. And the vada yesterday was particularly right: crispy crunchy, the best. Food from DDC is consistent in taste and delivery. And the master of the place is very warm and full in his greetings and attentions and keeps the restaurant to a high standard. Nice wall mural of the Shore Temple in Tamil Nadu, look forward to seeing it in its completion. Chai could be a little more potent. And the life of Davie Street rushes by, also always interesting. It seems Davie Dosa Company has a number of repeat and devoted customers who were as pleased as we were when we ate there. And have continued to return for such good South Indian cuisine.

Authentic South Indian food in Vancouver.
We ordered 2 Masala dosas, prawn Biriyani and tea, all the food that was served to us tasted really good. Rightly . The prawn Biriyani tasted really good with lots of prawns in it never had such Biriyani in Canada. The staffs were really friendly And were welcoming.
If you are looking for some authentic Indian food do try this place. Highly recommend ✌🏽

With our recent move back to Vancouver we took a walk down Davie street to see what changed. We came across Davie Dosa where a previous Italian place was. My partner is South Asian and loves Dosa.
(Dosa is a large lightly spiced crepe filled with different types of fabulous curries)
Well we were not disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and well priced. The flavours of the blended spices in both the eggplant and lamb dosa have us going back for more. The service was perfect and welcoming. It made us feel we were back home.
Loved every minute of our 3 last experiences here and looking forward to many more.
It is a must try!!!

Went here after a day of whale watching. Ordered a pint of lager 🍺 at 8 and a can of local cider also at 8 whilst looking at the menu.
Ordered a chetinad lamb curry and a butter lamb curry both at 20. They came with rice and chapati. Meals were outstanding. Also ordered an onion dosa at 12. Whilst they get great reviews, they weren’t for us. Nevertheless the meal overall was very good and service was also excellent.

My husband and I were walking back from English bay beach to downtown Vancouver and spotted this gorgeous restaurant.
We were so happy to sit by the open window.
Such gorgeous friendly staff .
We loved our meal , as both non -meat eaters , we found the menu suited us so well
Lovely food , served by the chef
Such a happy experience watching the world go by with such tasty food and drink
100% recommend
Keep up the good work until we visit again

Went to try South Indian food with my family on a late night at the time when most restaurants are closed. it’s good that is restaurant opens till late so we made sure we were quick. We ordered various dosas from their menu, me and my wife both loved ours but my in-laws did not like the onion dosa. The sambhar was nice, I personally felt a good experience.

Dovie Dosa Company on Davie Street is a go to when you are in. Vancouver’s West End. Unfortunately there are not too many good dining options on the Davie Strip. Davie Dosa stands above most of the rest. First of all the owner is very welcoming. The dosas are great and so are the biriyanis. They even have happy hour drink specials as well as daily meal specials. I recommend visitors to take a stroll along English Bay and then indulge here in some South Indian treats.

Great, reasonable spot in the West End by English Bay. Absolutely delicious and consistent. We always feel so good after we eat there. This time we split Spinach and Paneer Dosa and a mixed Veggie Dosa. Yummy as usual. We have had the curries and other dishes and all were top notch. The people are so sweet there too. Love it.

The Dosas were as good as it gets and this was outside Chennai! Slightly unusual for Tamil food but the lamb dosa was wonderful. We followed with a Payasam to share which was a delight with a good flavour and texture enhanced with Cardamom.
A must not miss place to eat! The service was prompt and welcoming. Cricket match on TV between India and Pakistan made it authentic.

I have had lots of Indian food in my life but I've never had dosas. We chose this restaurant due to its glowing reviews, and boy we were not disappointed! We had the paneer pakora, chicken korma and a lamb dosa. Everything was delicious. The dosa was like the most delicious snack cracker you could imagine - crispy at the edges (with several things to dip into) and the lamb filling was amazing. We finished our meal with carrot halva: hot, sweet and bursting with saffron flavor. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Vancouver.

Today i had masala dosa and veggie biryani at this place and it was really delicious. I never had this taste before. I would like to recommend to all my friends to come to this place and enjoy the delicious food. The servers here are also very good and polite.

The dosas that we had for lunch were soooo good that we returned for dinner the next night. The butter chicken dosa was very flavorful and the chutney accompaniments—especially the coconut—were very tasty. Also, we would like to note how warmly we were greeted and attended to while there. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Vancouver.

Picked this place based on reviews and recommendations. Lived up to it and then some. In addition to the usual Mughlai and Tandoor fare, this place has an extensive choice of food from Southern India. Especially the mast head item, Dosa, was superb like one gets in India. The true Filter Kaapi was a special treat. You have to ask for it.

The atmosphere was great. I love the Dosa nice and hot and crispy the way I like.

This place just rocks. Amazing food. Everyone had something different and there was no clear winner. All dishes were top notch first class. Tasted like I made it at home. Incredible and reasonably priced. I will be back. Nice staff and a cool little place as well. Keep up the amazing work!!! Love it.

Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant.
