The taco portions were too small for my linking but I would like to go back to try more of their options.

The food here is so good. Service was ok but my boyfriend and I loved it because we just talked and drank. Met a couple beside us and we had shots together. Carne asado all the Way!

I used to like this place when they opened and it has always been a bit over priced but I came back today with a couple friends for brunch and it is ridiculously overpriced. Just for 3 beers we payed 40 dlls. Food is very...expensive, not authentic and portions are mediocre. Don’t waste your money at this place!!!More

Went here to celebrate the birthday. Had a reservation which was good. Ambient is not something wow.Service was ok. My food was okay, but we find out some liquid on the bottom of the queso fundido dish which means it was not made of the...best mix of the cheeses.Others in our party were satisfied with the food. I won't be back .More

I eat a lot of tacos but the flavours here are authentic and fresh. Highly recommend the fondita and any of the drinks containing Mezcal ;)

My date and I came here because Mexican is her favourite food. I don't have a favourite, although after last night, Mexican is up there. It's not an easy location to find, but not particularly hard, either. The dining room was quite small, but despite...that, we managed to be seated so that we at least felt secluded. Servers and the bartender were the only people I saw all night. The secluded feeling means the noise wasn't bad at all. The food: Oh my God, the food! My mouth is watering just thinking of it! I can't remember for the life of me what we ordered. But I remember the way the lamb meat fell off the bone with barely a touch. And the guacamole was, well, it was guacamole. Which is always delicious! The service was friendly, drinks were good, food was delicious, and the price wasn't outrageous, so I'll definitely be back!More

Four of us went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it! The food is sophisticated Mexican cuisine, really delicious and excellent value. The service was excellent - very attentive but not bothersome. We really enjoyed the tacos which are superb and the chicharrones de puerco, we...also had the queso fundido which is fantastic! Highly recommended!More

Nice place to choose in gastown. Sign says mezcal and not la mezcaleria as the name suggests. Had been to the one on commercial drive, with live music. Have to say, the music and vibe was way better on commercial drive. The music was jazz...and it was too slow so didn’t pick up the mood. We had a drink only. Mine had a little spicy kick to it, and mango. Really enjoyed it. Staff are friendly. Service was good too.More

Went here on a Saturday night. Had a reservation which was good. Service was over attentive. Having dinner with friends and felt like we were constantly interrupted with little stories etc. Food was okay. I ordered ribs which were so dry I sent them back....Clearly they had been cooked days in advance and heated up for the evening. When I returned them I was told that if they redid the food it would be the same. So in the end they took it off my bill which was good but at that point I was ready to move on. Others in our party were satisfied with the food. I won't be back as there are many other places to give my cash to.More

We tried Carnitas Fritas and Pescado Baja plus Queso Fundido - Cheese Fondue Mexican Style tried the Con Salsa Asada De Arbol slightly spicy. And of course guacamole and chips. For 1st timers to Mexican food this was a very pleasant experience and we are...definitely going to eat more in future. The baja dish and lamb shank were really lovely plus the platter of tortillas which came with a mix of fish and meat etc chef special. We also sampled the margarita plus 3 mezcals. It’s a must try !More

So I was in town for a good friend's birthday and knew he was a fan of tequilas and not knowing the area, I asked a friend who worked in the alcohol business for a reco. She immediately gave me Mezcaleria, as her one and...only suggestion. I was surprised knowing how indepth the foodie market and mixology scene was in Vancouver. But armed with her reco I went off to Mezcaleria's Gastown location as it was close to my hotel. (I had heard Commercial is quite packed and tough to get a spot). We went early and got a quiet table at the back. Our server was very friendly and we jumped into our tequila tasting adventure. Showing that we were somwhat knowledgeable really got our server talking and before you knew it we tried a couple mezcals and by the end we were chatting up the bartender (Keeton) who was great at suggesting another one to try (as we had already gone through our favourites). We hadn't planned on eating, but felt like we could pick at something. So our server suggested we try the Queso Fundido - it's like the best fondue ever. She suggested we try the 'Con Salsa Verde' but add in some mushrooms. And wow, we went to town. You essentially scoop up a dollop from this boiling hot stoneware bowl and grab it with a hot tortilla. We couldn't stop. Those of you looking to widen your tequila/mezcal palate must check this place out. We had a blast and the food is great to boot. We will be back for sure.More
