We were served by a young Irish Lad, Luke Tormey. He was very welcoming and attentive and made us all feel completely at home. He is an asset to the bar and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone, great food, and a fabulous service.

Donnellan's is as I have always pictured an Irish pub. At least twice a year my wife and I spend time in Vancouver and always make a point of walking to this pub. We make a point of enjoying the Curry Chips which I highly recommend if you like curry.

Had some dinner and a beer first night we were in Vancouver . The area surrounding the pub isn’t great with a lot of homeless people hanging around , no fault of the pub. The staff were super friendly Irish girls that served us dinner. We got to sample the beer and cider before we purchased them . Food was classic pub grub , I had fish and chips and my husband a burger . Was nice . Great pub to visit whilst in Vancouver if you are comfortable to walk around this area at night it fine .

Worst food of our Vancouver trip. There were a few people sitting at the bar. Nobody seemed to be eating, which is weird for 630 at night. Hubby ordered a beef dip and i ordered a fish and chips, with crispy fries and a side of gravy. Hubbys beefdip arrived looking like the server had had an accident somewhere between the kitchen and our table, the dip had spilled all overthe plate so the sandwich was sloppy and a mess to try to eat. Server should have caught that and not served it in that state. My fish arrived with pasty undercooked fries. And a side of gravy so watery that it wouldnt coat the frenchfries. The tartersauce was the worst ive ever tried to eat. It was served with 1 tablespoon of coleslaw. So…..epic fail. Wont be back. Wont recommend, would advise all followers to eat elsewhere.

It’s a rarity indeed to be sitting at a bar outside of Ireland and hear patrons and the bartender conversing with thick Irish brogues. Unfortunately, what this place makes up in authenticity, it lacks utterly in service and food portions.
We tried a table but gave up on the catatonic waitresses after a while and sat at the bar. I ordered a half and half – a simple and safe enough request at an Irish pub. What came back was a whisky colored mess. “Sorry, they got mixed together” said he. Really? The thought of pouring it down the drain and doing it right never occurred to the guy? I bit my tongue and we waited for the food to come. My wife had mixed vegetables and I a burger with fries. The mixed veggies were pretty good but the portion tiny. The burger was standard fare.
Instead of a ball game (any game), they were showing an old concert of Westlife, the Backstreet Boys of Ireland. Weren’t U2 the biggest thing out of Ireland in the 90’s and 2,000’s? Are there no videos of them?
I’ll finish as I started: If you’re looking for a place to down a few pints (be wary of the half and halfs though) and chat with friends, maybe play a couple of games of pool, this is the place to go. If you’re hoping for service and a hearty dinner, move on to the next place.
It’s authenticity, atmosphere and potential as a great watering hole save it from a 2 star rating

We had our first pint of Guinness here and it was the absolutly best Guinness we had in Vancouver. Better than a lot of pints in the UK. Friendly bar staff and food was OK for a bite with a pint. Recommended for a great Guinness

Have to say this pub was brilliant. The bar staff were fantastic. I have to mention, I think her name was Chloe but she was from Galway. What a lovely girl who went above and beyond to make sure our group had a great night. I will definately be heading back here when I’m over at Christmas. With the help of god she will still be there.

I was in town for a conference and found Donnellan's as I like Irish pubs. This was within walking distance from the Sheraton. I enjoyed the ambiance, the sports, the food, and the drinks. I had a Guinness, but also a draft house (Donnellan's) lager. The Guinness was as expected of course, though I definitely recommend the lager. Conor was friendly, answered my questions well, and made sure I had what I needed. I'd like to return one day with friends. Recommended!

I visited Donnellan's with my wife and kids, the service was great, the food was excellent (it does taste similar to home made or chipper take away in Irealnd) and the pint of Guinness was alright.......they do not leave it to settle, but so far a really good place with a good bit of craic.
Just be really careful with all the junkies outside, it´s not a pleasent site.

We visited based on other reviews. The music was very loud! We had a couple of beers and fish and chips. The food was ok but the fish was absolutely tiny. We paid for extra fish too!
This venue is best suited to groups of friends rather than couples. Other people who were there seemed to be enjoying themselves! We had left by about 8 pm. Would imagine that the place could get quite lively/ raucous! Not a bad thing if this is what you are looking for.
Recommended for a lively night, not for food.

A friend and I went on a night out in Donnellan’s and had a great time! The music and atmosphere had us up dancing and we had so much fun. Definitely recommend.

Found on our first night and went back for a second. Guinness on top and good choice of other drinks. Live musicians each night. Staff super friendly

We so enjoyed our last experience at the Donnellan's Irish Pub, we had to come back. We are glad we did. This place has a great vibe, so enjoy! (I've included a picture of their menu if you are interested : )

My husband and I came here on a Sunday afternoon for a early supper. They only had the buffet that day so we took it. It was a delicious meal! We were stuffed by the time we finished.

I really liked the interior and atmosphere of Donnellans and the drinks were a reasonable price. Food was good but didn't blow me away. I'd still recommend popping in here for a pint of two though.
