From the second I walked in to this place with my family, I knew it was meant for downtown Vancouver yuppies but my kids were hungry and we settled for bar seats by the entrance. My girls wanted pizza and it was a highly rated restaurant on this site but don't let that fool you. The gnocchi was appalling, dry,... More

It's a small restaurant, but the food is very good and the service is great! I really enjoyed the wine and the pasta that I ordered. The burrata and crostini is always good! The pasta is made fresh and you can tell. Go early as it fills up quick, even on week days.

I am a big fan of the food here because of its related restaurant connected through the kitchen, Tavola. Nook is a very small and popular place right off Denman and luck is a big part of getting seated on a weekend night. The food is excellent and is the reason for the lineups. There are 2 downsides: The noise... More

Excellent quality ingredients and dishes full of flavour. The best Italian I've had in Vancouver by far.

As with a couple of other restaurants we visited in Vancouver, the queue of locals willing to wait to get a table tells a clear story. Small and simply furnished, but with great staff and an evident passion for Italian food and wine. The menu isn't extensive but all the better for that in many ways. The crostini were delicious,... You MUST eat at this restaurant if you live in or are visiting Vancouver. We ate here our first night in town and returned on our second night because we knew nowhere else would come close, so there was no point in setting ourselves up for disappointment. If this was our local, we would be at the door weekly. Our... More

Found this restaurant out of sheer luck as I'm new to the neighbourhood. It's fabulous! The service is welcoming and warm and the food is really delicious. The restaurant was full, it's not very big, and we waited 10 minutes for a table. The white bean crostini was superb, so was the meat ball dish and the pizza of the... More

Great local restaurant for pizza, salad and other Italian dishes. A small space that doesn't take reservations, so arrive early or be prepared to wait in line.

Thank Mike R
