I'm afraid the other reviews say it all really. $20 for a burnt burger. The staff were rude and telling me how I am supposed to tip before I left the tip. The service took a long time, and it didn't even look busy. Please sort it out guys :(

Where to begin? I must say I was happy with the food, the cleanliness, everything. I would have given the place 5 out of 5. I've had to give it a 1 though as the waiter is the rudest man alive! From beginning to the end of the time I was there, he was rude and disrespectful at every point... More

The restaurant is in a good position beside the fast food outlets approaching the security in the airport. The staff lacked any interest, they were not as effusive as all the other waiting staff we had come across in our visit. The food was pleasant, although we had to send two of three meals back as they were not hot.... More

When ordering a burger, the menu says "Add Cheddar, Mushrooms, Bacon $1.99." However, it's $1.99 each, so a 14-dollar burger is suddenly a 20-dollar burger! The menu really should say "$1.99 each."

Arrived here at 7:30 pm and did not know that the kitchen closes at 8:00, wanted the chowder, but they were all out of soup for the day, so settled on a BLT which was tasty. Service was mundane as it was quite busy and the waitress acted like she wished her shift was over with already. Waited at least... More

This was a rather inexpensive airport place to relax, watch the traveller foot-traffic, enjoy a few beers and wings before settling down for the night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport.

Airport food is not good by definition however this restaurant is an exemption to the rule and a good option if you want to have a good food before your flight. I ordered the soup of the day (chicken curry) and as a second plate I went for fish and chip. Both dishes were very tasty and well presented. Price... More

Situated adjacent to the international check-in desks, this bar/restaurant offers pleasant surroundings in which to eat and relax before flying. We always seem to have a late evening takeoff for our journey home. Airline food at 11:00pm is not good for me so we have got into the habit of arriving early for our flight and the adjourning to Koho... More

It's our last meal in Canada. From the outside, this restaurant is attractive. Inside, we were less impressed. This an airport restaurant - service needs to be swift and attentive. We got anything but that. Our order was taken, but the burger arrived without requested cheese and lettuce that had definitely seen better days. It shouldn't have blackened edges. Nobody... More

The area was pretty calm and the food as reasonable for an airport. We had appreciated not being rushed to eat until it came to paying the bill. My friend and I wanted to sort out splitting the bill and the waitress just started going on about tipping before we had time to do anything. Don't get me wrong, tipping's... More

Staying in Commercial Drive

Neighbourhood Profile
Commercial Drive
Commercial Drive, also called "The Drive," comprises of twelve sauntering blocks of modest and unfussy counter-culture. Straddling the line between sophisticated and unadorned, it is favoured by students, artists, writers, designers, and start-ups, and suffused throughout with a healthy off-beat counter-culture. The kind of neighbourhood which well-springs thought-revolutions and has the odd bit of self-aware graffiti, Commercial Drive has resisted gentrification in favor of continuing to build a thriving den of affordable multiculturalism. Once known as Vancouver's "Little Italy," it has also been the immigration point for Guatemalans, Hondurans, and Portuguese to the city. The resulting hodgepodge makes for poetry readings in espresso cafes, social debates in early-open bakeries, and eco-activism posters pinned up in the many multi-ethnic markets in the area. Commercial Drive is where you go to feel like a local, and if you have them, bring the kids – The Drive has a number of bookshops, toy stores, and attractions to get them involved too.
