My wife & I have eaten here before when visiting the city from our home in Terrace and have always enjoyed the experience. Today (Feb.02) we stopped in for lunch without having made a reservation and had only to wait for about 5 minutes before being shown to a nice table near the fireplace but still with an excellent view of the bay. Our female server was courteous and attentive throughout our stay. My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad and I the clam chowder. Both were very good. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is because the quantity of soup in my bowl was paltry, to say the least. The raspberry sorbet for dessert was excellent. We will return but maybe I won't order soup.

The location, views and warm atmosphere within make the Teahouse a great option for an intimate date night. The staff were very attentive and personable. I ordered the Prawn & Burrata Salad and Lamb Entree, while my hubby ordered the Sunday night Prime Rib special (which is very affordably priced). We enjoyed all of the food, but the lamb was the real highlight for me. My dessert of the Nanaimo Jar was the only underwhelming part for me... it basically tasted like layers of chocolate ganache sandwiched between plain whipped cream. I was expecting something a little more custardy and rich (like the Nanaimo bar itself) but it fell flat. All in all, a great night out!

My Fiancee and I visited The Teahouse twice in Dec 2019. Once was to eat lunch in the restaurant and the other was for our engagement dinner party (approx 95 people).
Lunch:
We went in to check out the place and eat lunch there before the event. And from the moment we got there we knew we chose the right place to have our engagement party.
We both had appy's, lunch, and dessert and all the meals were very delicious. In addition to this, we had an amazing view to stare at and incredible/friendly service!
Engagement Dinner:
The whole evening was absolutely amazing and we were truly grateful. When we first walked into the restaurant I had to take 2 steps back because of how beautiful the place looked. It was exactly what we wanted – posh, elegant, and high-class!
In addition to the look/decor, their team was very good, friendly and efficient… they really made the night extra special! It was also clear that they have done this many times b/c everyone knew what they were doing.
Finally, the food could not have been any better and on point (especially the dessert!)! Their kitchen team did a fantastic job this evening on all food items and everyone was (happily) full by the time they left.
Please note: the above feedback does not just come from me but from all the people who attended. Everyone had nothing but positive comments when they came up to my fiancee and me to thank us for a wonderful night and for inviting them.
I highly recommend The Teahouse for both lunch/dinner and if you want to host an event.

Almost 50 years in the Vancouver area and FINALLY had the opportunity to visit. Valentine’s dinner was nothing less than perfect. Warmly welcomed and promptly seated, we were immediately met by Tempest, or server. From there, the service continued to exceed expectations. The drinks arrived promptly, as did the appetizer. Side note; the brussel sprouts could hold their own as a 5-star delicacy themselves. Entree was plated beautifully, served hot, and a perfect portion. Tempest checked on us regularly, but was on pointe between bothersome and absent. She nailed the service. Kudos. Empty plates and glasses were removed quickly the dessert came perfectly sized. Sorry that I have t been in previously, but I WILL be back.

My wife and I had dinner here tonight. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. We felt very welcome and special the moment we walked in the door. They were aware it was my wife’s birthday dinner and they made it memorable. They got us right in and seated us at a window seat. We had an unobstructed view of the sunset that was about to occur. Our server Anna was spectacular. We started with the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, they were very flavorful. For the entree, I had the roasted chicken, delish!! My wife had the Salmon, it was melt in your mouth good. For dessert My wife had the lemon tart and I had the chocolate cake. When Anna brought my wife’s dessert, they had spelled “Happy Birthday” with chocolate sauce. The view was heavenly , the service was heavenly and the food was heavenly. Thank you Teahouse, my wife loved it!!

We’ve been here a handful of times and its always been great food, but this valentines say was especially good. I don’t normally like beets, but our server John tempted me to try it and it was a perfectly balanced salad I have to say the first time I enjoyed beets. Prime rib was exceptional and the pallet cleansers were amazing little pleasers as well. Paired with a great view, good wine and good company, this is a great spot for a nice dinner out for a nice occasion.

Started off well. View, atmosphere, drinks, bread, appetizers, service great.
Waited over an hour for food that was not hot although the waiter made a big show of telling me how hot the plate was. At one point the waiter came and told us he had checked to confirm that he had placed our order and, of course he said the problem was not with him.
Eventually my husband and I were served with food that tasted looked reheated. When I mentioned the limp, unacceptable vegetables the waiter said he would have them cook some more. I tried to eat my fish very slowly thinking the vegetables would arrive soon. After we had both finished our mediocre food (halibut for me and steak for my spouse), ? 20-30 minute wait, the manger arrived with 2 plates with a huge mound of properly cooked greens then was very pouty when I said it was too late. “We cooked these just for you”. No one explained what happened to our meal or apologized. The manager said our food had not been reheated, the vegetables had merely been overcooked. Why did they serve overcooked vegetables? That was never explained. This an expensive restaurant. There are many restaurants in Vancouver with better service and food. We won’t be risking this place again. Manager and waiter were patronizing and arrogant. The waiter plunked a slice of cheese cake in front of me proclaiming “I know you’ll love this”. Eventually the manager said if we’d offered to start over with your food would that have been satisfactory? We said it was preferable to what happened but was never offered. I’ve been with my spouse for 36 y and have never before heard him give negative feedback directly to the waiter and manager. It was my birthday dinner but fortunately the day was not planned around this unfortunate experience.

I would recommend visiting the Teahouse for the views alone - located above the beach, the views from the main dining room are great and give you a strong sense of place and space. That said, the food isn't bad, either.
We stopped in on a whim while visiting Stanley Park and were able to get a table without a reservation after only a short wait. (If you can, plan your visit and reserve a table.) The service was good, though a little harried. The place was busy. The food was decent but left some room for improvement. (I had the mussels. The mussels and broth were excellent, but the accompanying chorizo was a little dry and the corn kernels that were added to the dish (clearly either frozen or canned) did nothing but detract. I can't remember what my husband ordered - maybe a salad - and he enjoyed it. The beer and wine selections were very good.

The Stanley Park Tea House is located in a very beautiful & romantic setting on Fergusson Point in Stanley Park. A lot of wedding receptions take place here! The restaurant is kept immaculately clean & is very spacious with seating overlooking English Bay & they also have a large heated patio. The staff are great with fast, friendly & efficient service. There are a wide variety of items on the menu & the food is delicious. My wife had their fish & chips which were very fresh & served in large American size portions. I had the Belgian Waffle topped with fresh fruit & maple syrop. We used to dine at the Tea House frequently until the City took away parking & vehicle lanes throughout Stanley Park. We are happy to see that the City has finally re-opened vehicle lanes in Stanley Park & the Tea House parking is back. It is great to see that this restaurant is accessible once again! We highly recommend this restaurant!

At the start of a long Stanley Park walk on a very hot weekend we stopped at the Teahouse for a cool drink and an afternoon treat. Our raspberry lemonades were refreshing and our deserts were delicious - beautifully presented and perfectly indulgent. We sat on the terrace and basked in the Teahouse's stunning views. John our superb server was attentive and friendly. It was a lovely way to enjoy some extended time in the park. We thoroughly recommended a visit to the Teahouse!

The location can’t be topped! If you find no available time slot in Open Table online reservations, try phoning the restaurant directly for a reservation. We did, and got the best seat in the house, by the flower garden out under the covered patio, overlooking a Pacific sunset. Park Security ensures only restaurant guests use the nearby parking, but even if you have to walk a short distance from slightly further parking: remember, a meander through that world class beauty is what people fly in for! Service was exceptional. Dine outside menu (available in-house) is substantial and delicious. We topped it off with a lovely jug of red sangria. Alone, on a date, or with a group, make a memory here.

I attended my company winter party hosted at the Teahouse. The location was amazing. Having just snowed, the Teahouse was truly transformed into a winter wonderland. We had a Gatsby-themed party and the Teahouse setting was perfect for the theme. Setting up the party was a breeze. The events team at the teahouse was flexible and quick to respond. The service was professional and kind. My only snippet of constructive feedback would be the cadence in which food came out. It did take quite a while to get our food. All in all, The Teahouse was an awesome venue for our event, and i would highly recommend it to anyone to give their guests an elevated experience.

My husband and I escaped our toddler and came here on a rare date night, expecting five-star food and a spectacular location. The location did not disappoint!! The food was...okay. We’ve been to all the sister restaurants (Cardero’s, Sandbar, and Seasons), and from the reviews, we were expecting the food here to be a step up from the delicious albeit mid-level options at Cardero’s and Sandbar. Nope. Our meals were fine, but uninspired. Very basic steak with lukewarm fries and half a seared tomato — no plating or garnish — and a few ravioli buried under a massive pile of arugula and some overcooked mushrooms. Not what we were expecting, and certainly not warranting the confident price tags! We ended up opting out of dessert and heading to Earnest Ice Cream to finish off our meal. So — if you’re looking for food that’s spectacular — try Nightingale or Market instead. If the kitchen was handed over to a team like those restaurants have, I think the Teahouse would be an iconic location that would be packed, rather than half empty, on a Friday night.

We’ve been to the Teahouse many times and it only seems to get better. We just celebrated my wife’s birthday at the Teahouse and the whole experience was exceptional. The food was fantastic — we had the charcuterie board, halibut, crème brûlée, and chocolate cake. The ingredients were local and fresh, and the fish was tender and cooked to perfection. The ambiance was romantic — soft music and the other guests weren’t too loud. We had a table on the patio with an amazing view of English Bay. Finally, kudos to John for the excellent service and for making us feel welcome on this special occasion. I’ve lived in Vancouver for most of my life, and when it comes to dining out in this city, it doesn’t get any better than this.

Super disappointed! We had really looked forward to our visit, having read so much about the place, but it didn’t live up to the hype at all. First, we had really hoped to dine inside, but they didn’t have a single indoor table available. We were told we’d be moved to one as soon as one freed up, but no one ever came to move us. Service was quick, but the kitchen was very slow. Things took forever to come out. Sadly, the food was well below average for a restaurant of this type and of this price range. The caesar salad was absolutely smothered in dressing to the point of being inedible. They remade it, but did the same thing to it the next go round. I truly don’t understand what they were going for. The dressing was incredibly strong, so there definitely should not have been lakes of it all over the salad. The lobster bisque, on the other hand, was incredibly bland, as well as barely lukewarm. The cheese plate was minute with a chunk of cheddar, gouda, and a small brie wedge (all grocery store quality). It was just so unexpectedly basic, and it came with only a tiny bit of baguette and a ramekin of honey. It was like a Starbucks tray, but four times the price. The charred broccoli was not so much charred as fully burnt. Lastly, the crème brûlée was sad as well. The custard was much too thin/watery, and the sugar layer so thick that it was chewy. Wtf? I honestly don’t understand how this restaurant has such good reviews! Our waiter was absolutely lovely and genuinely friendly, but the table next to us treated him like garbage their entire meal. Didn’t expect to find so much racism in Vancouver, but it was similar to the deep south of the US, yet the rude customers were very proud of being locals. Very unexpected. That, plus the sunset reflecting off of every single glass surface on the patio, and I left with a major migraine. If you do end up going here, don’t sit at a patio table at sunset unless you bring sunglasses. I will note, the fingering potatoes were decent.
