We are Vancouver's only Indigenous restaurant. We specialize in wild fish, free range game meat and of course bannock, freshly baked daily. We use traditional ingredients that we prepare and present in a modern way. In our small casual bistro everyone is welcome as they are. In the spirit of First Nations' traditions, our intention is to provide a gathering place where the focus is on the people and the food. Please be aware that we love celebrating the seasons, so our menu changes regularly and without notice. Inez (Nuxalk Nation), Owner.

I went here with my family & the service & food were excellent! The food is not something you’ll find elsewhere. A lot of delicious options. Try the mushrooms on toasted bannock—it’s divine! Bridget, our waitress, provided friendly, informative, & timely service. A definite must-see...if you’re in Vancouver.More

This was our most memorable meal in Vancouver. Everything was remarkably delicious, from the sampler appetizer to the wild rice in the fish-and-rice, even the cedar jelly for the scrumptious bannocks. I’ll be telling people about this place for sure, & they DO take reservations!

We just finished our meal and I am honestly, at a loss for words. We are ending our weeklong trip to Vancouver, and if we would have come here for dinner earlier, we would have come every. single. night. My husband and I have been...to over 20 countries, and tonight was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. You feel welcomed from the moment you enter, like you are going into a friend’s home for a meal. The manager came to our table several times to chat, and our waitress Bridget was hilarious, kind, and so knowledgeable about everything on the menu, down to the ingredients that were in a homemade soda! Our meals were out of this world, evidently made with such passion and love. Honestly, halfway through, after taking a bite of the most delicious corn I have ever tasted, I almost cried. It was really a touching experience, the food, the people, the decor, the music, everything. What an amazing place. Thank you to the entire team, thank you so much.More

We were welcomed with warm greetings and it only got better from there. We were a group of eight people celebrating a significant birthday and could not have chosen a better place. The service, the food, the ambiance, all were superb. We cant wait to...return. Congrats to Salmon 'n Bannock on being in the top ten of restaurants in THE WORLD!!! It is well deserved.More

I thoroughly enjoyed Salmon n' Bannock! The food was delicious (open-faced bison sandwich and coleslaw photo attached), the atmosphere was awesome and the service was exceptional. I've heard many great things about this restaurant and I can see what all the hype was about. Will...definitely be returning again soon. Thank you!More

Indigenous opened and inspired. Service friendly and informative. Small room, reservations needed. An indigenous menu. Do not miss mushrooms, bannock and Garvey!! Bison pot roast the best choice. Kale rolls a bit hard to eat and cut. Not great. Cheesecake dessert was excellent Indigenous vineyard...wines interestingMore

If you not only want DELICIOUS FOOD (I've had their bannock burgers; bison; and bannock tacos...and their yam fries and sauce are ridiculous); but also super friendly and hospitable staff, then this is your spot. If you also care about economic reconciliation; supporting Indigenous business...and allyship then this bistro is for you!More

Best bannock I have ever tasted is from here. The salmon was incredibly fresh and you could taste it. Very friendly staff as well. If there's no room in the restaurant, get take out cause the food is worth it!

When I went to Salmon ‘n Bannock, Vancouver’s only indigenous - owned and operated restaurant, I wanted the whole experience. I certainly was not disappointed. The food was so delicious! I loved the salmon mousse especially. I loved hearing the indigenous music and seeing the...art on the wall. The Covid separations were not only practical, but with the indigenous art etched on them was functionality with an artistic flair. So beautiful and such a wonderful idea! Two thumbs up and a thousand stars! The staff was so friendly and made amazing recommendations. The sage-infused salmon was very flavourfulMore
