We kept driving past this place when in this area and decided to give it a try. We asked for their recommendation, and we ordered half a lamb and chicken curry. The food was good. There were many families enjoying their meals as well.

We eat South Asian food quite often and had not previously tried Karakoram. But did so the other night with a few friends. COVID guidelines firmly in place (temperature taken on arrival). A large menu which was differently organized compared to other south Asian restaurants but we found our favourites. Vegetarian biryani delicious as was the eggplant dish (I would call it eggplant bharta but I think that is Indian description). Mixed grill looked great and my wife's chicken kashmiri tasty..chicken moist and not overcooked. Restaurant if halal (muslim dietary guidelines) so no booze which is perhaps why they charge for bottled water,..hmm. Several family groups there but staff managed numbers easily (they must have a well staffed kitchen). Opens late afternoon so not open for lunch...I would like if they did. Takes reservations. Really good food!

Went to have dinner at this restaurant that is in my neighborhood. Waited patiently at the front for 10 minutes before any acknowledgement by any staff member. Asked for a table for one and was told all the tables were reserved even though there were lots of empty tables. While I was waiting(sign said "Please Wait to be Seated" non-white people came in and walked by me and sat down. Also people having dinner were glaring at me like I was not supposed to be there. Felt like a person of color back in the 60's in Alabama. This place will never get my business ever and I will tell everyone not to support this racist establishment. Interesting I told my roommate who is a Syrian refugee about this incident and his comment was that of all the peoples of the planet he wants nothing to do with those from Pakistan.

After hearing about this restaurant, my husband and I thought we should give it a try. It was a Sunday evening and parking was hard to find as it is very limited around the restaurant. We waited for a bit then the only server seated us while she continually helped another customer at the cash register. It was a while when she finally came to take our order. I odered the Lamb Bhiryani and my husband ordered the Nihari both dishes were superb. If you can't tolerate spicy food then ask them to tone it down. We will go back to try their famous Karai's as we have heard so much about them. Will need to preorder as they take 30 mins to make.

I ordered grilled lamd chops and fish pakora. Both were quite salty. Lamb is flavourful but still VERY rare. Couldnt see the pinkness in meat but the texture was like extremely raw like. The seasonings masked the pink appearance of the meat. Texture of fish pakora was reasonable. But over seasoned with salt.

The ambiance here is amazing, every table is candlelit, and the customer service exceptional! Always made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Answered all our questions regarding the menu and recommended dishes based on our preferences; food on point! Portions are really good too! Owner is very nice also. Must try!!!!

Visiting from Toronto and had our second visit to the Karokoram Restaurant. Such wonderful food!! We started with their their lassis, their amazing lamb chop and beef kebab appetizers and then moved onto their chicken and lamb karahi. Ended our meal with their home made pistachio ice cream and delicious gulab jamun. Great place to eat Pakistani food, whether it is your first time or you eat it in on a regular basis. Thank you to the staff and chef for this fabulous dinner.

This is a little gem of a restaurant. If you want real taste of Pakistan then this is it. Chicken Karahi is the best and always made fresh either with red or black pepper. Wait time is about 30 minutes so consider ordering on the phone before you drive. Other item I can recommend is Handi Chicken. Full of flavours. I'll suggest to serve in a actual Handi. Parking space here is very limited. We parked nearby seven eleven plaza. You may have to look either off street or may be other outlets. Decor also need some revival.

I've never had such good Pakistani food outside of Pakistan or UK. Visited Vancouver and had a hankering for some decent Pakistani food being away from home for a few days. Usually when we try this abroad we're disappointed. This place is wonderful, however. It's a little way south of downtown but well worth the trip!

March 2024 I went to KKR foir iftar with family. The iftar items were great and deliciousin taste. After, we had dinner items. Everything was perfect. I loved Karahi which is why I usually go there for. The staff was curteous and attentive. The main thing in a food is its taste. Never compromise on the taste. Muhammad Shoaib Inam
