I was visiting a friend who lives in the neighborhood and we were craving Mexican food. After reading the reviews online we tried this place. We walked the 10 minutes to get there and weren’t disappointed for a second! The small restaurant is incredibly quaint...and authentic, and staff were fabulous, friendly, and very patient as we sorted out our order. We ordered four chicken burritos to go and they were absolutely ginormous and absolutely delicious. Our order did take a little while to cook, so we are confident they were made from scratch with the best / freshest ingredients possible. We would absolutely return :)More

This is a great hole in the wall with great Tortas. A little spicey and very tasty. We were also pleased to see they serve Pesole soup which we have always wanted to try. this is not close to fine dining but it has heart.

I had a takeaway meal of Arrachera Tampiquena from here and it exceeded my expectations. It was not only tasty but had various textures and was of sufficient quantity. I hope to return.

We moved here three years ago and meant to go to Las Tortas. Instead, my husband kept dropping into Subway when he wanted a sandwich to bring home. What a mistake. It should be a crime in this neighbourhood when the owner of Las Tortas...obviously knows food, knows flavour and works incredibly hard to bring the best out of his ingredients. Hand-made; homemade--these are my favourite words when eating a casual meal. Well any meal, actually. Everything is very flavourful. It's the kind of restaurant where you tell yourself you'll be modest in your portions, but you can't and quickly find yourself ordering more. I'd like to go back for the paella or even paella lessons if I could volunteer enough time!More

Came in just before they closed and grabbed three sandwiches to go- they were delicious. Got back to our lodging, had a beer on the deck and enjoyed our sandwiches.

Fast service, very tasty Mexican with nice combination of herbs on salad; great tacos and cheap; had vegetarian quesadillas (4 of them) that came with good portions of salad, rice, guacamole all for 7.95! Deal! Have tried lots of Mex around town but the food...at this little Tortas place is the best.More

Understated and very very very good food. Fish Tacos and Quesadilla - fish well cooked, cabbage, guacamole - superb. Quesadilla with Oaxacan string cheese, and grilled zucchini/mushrooms (with rice and ensalada, sour cream) was out of this world. Sauces, cheeses, fresh cilantro, all abundant. Good...- straightforward, quality Mexican food. Sabroso. Great place, friendly, good vibe. Go for it.More

Stopped here for lunch with the kids as we were the in area. We had: - the Mexican Club Torta - very good - lots of flavor, well cooked, and quite filling. - Chips and Salsa - nicely warmed, and kids were happy - Churro...- again, very good - Hochata - also very good and refreshing You order at the counter, and the food is served at the table. It's a small space with limited seating, so I would guess most of their business is takeout. Since it was quiet, the staff were good enough to hold off on preparing the churro until we finished the main part of the meal. That was thoughful. Pay street parking out front, and residential street parking around if you're willing to walk a few blocks. Overall, a good satsifying meal. Might be a little on the expensive side, but was happy with the taste and quality.More

Incredible Mexican food would challenge or beat that served in the home country. Fantástico! We have seen this place for awhile and made a point of going. Especially after walking past the other day and staring at the person’s meal of one fantastic looking burrito....Let me tell you that was exactly what it turned out to be when we had it. Scrumptious And extensive menu of authentic Mexican items from the lovely and simple Tamale to many more complex preparations. Lovely Mexican sodas and if you wish a beer. Focusing on the simple act of your taste bud’s joy in surroundings warm, cozy, basic and feels like home. Great for take out. Eat in hours between 11am and 8pm. You “will not” be disappointed. Loved it. On the list of regulars. And as a couple who has had Mexico as their main destination almost annually since 1993 we know something about what we like of Mexican food. Now we don’t have to wait so long for that taste zing. Muy Deliciosa.More

I can't attest for their whole menu and to be honest wasn't too keen on Mexican sandwiches but the fish burrito is delicious! The place is cute and authentic feeling. I went back for a second one this week it was so good. The only...thing extra I wish they had were a few different housemade hot sauces or sauces that you could add.More

There is no decor to speak of. I had the Pollo Parilla it was good with a kick of heat. It had good flavor and the price was 10.50 ...average for a lunch. The service was okay and seemed like a family run business as...there was a child running around and interacting with the server/cashier. There was a steady stream of people mostly ordering take out.More

We wanted Mexican food and Las Tortas popped up. Pleasantly surprised at the authentic menu selection. We had Tortas with chorizo and el pastor. I actually found these better than Tortas I've tried in Mexico as I found them less greasy. Great place - will...visit next time we are in Vancouver!More

This spot has delicious sandwiches that are about as authentic as you can find in Vancouver. The shop makes their own habanero hot sauce which is very hot and extremely delicious. I basically go there just to have a sandwich drenched in this salsa.

Hi Jeremy Thank a lot for your review, Have you tried the Torta Ahogada? Is a pulled pork sandwich drowned in red salsa and even if you wish you can substitute the red salsa for habanero.
