This place knows how to create a world of flavours in every plate. The food is emotionally rich, creative and delicate. Excellent place in sophisticated and chic Gastown.

This is a very good choice for an interesting experience in dining. The architecture of the space is a series of rooms and buildings drawn together with stairs, windows and balconies. It is creatively decorated to provide a sense of privacy while there are numerous...More
My husband and I went to couple of French restaurants in Vancouver mostly classic style and they were very good. However, L'Abattoir is different. Ambiance is young and dynamic. The food is wonderfully creative. Service is very friendly and efficient. Their choices of wine is...More
Great dishes, a bit expensive but you get your moneys worth. A very small modern restaurante that is really worth while. Food is great, and the quality of ingredients is amazing. I had a duck brest that was juicy and crisp. Great playing. My only...More
This is absolutely one of the better restaurants in Vancouver. It’s somewhat a crossover between a high end fine dining and more traditional two/three course dining. It is a warm atmosphere and absolutely worth a visit!
We came late to the restaurant and our waitress was nothing but amazing. Great suggestions for both the food and pairing a wine with the food.
We had a great meal at L'Abbatoir. The roast lamb, accompanied by lamb sausage and squash puree was as satisfying to look at as it was to eat. It is a perfect place to eat in Gastown.

A very hip spot in Gastown. Exquisite inventive food. Bar is quite capable. Service is attentive but restrained (which is good). Portions are a wee bit on the small side, so keep that in mind when ordering. Reservations are a must.
Truly delicious food! If you're looking for french food, this is the place in Vancouver! Awesome service! attentive but no snobby as one sometimes gets in the higher end places.
