With the popularity of egg related brunch restaurants going through the roof I have found solace in Asian noodle bowls for Saturday and Sunday brunch. Banana Leaf's Laksa bowl hit's the spot for me, but the 12 course for $12 is also a good time.

The server told me that Malaysian food is a marriage of Thai, Indian, and Singaporean cuisines. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with that, and believe me, I didn’t. On the recommemdation of my server I ordered Nasi Goreng, a Malaysian version of Pad Thai...More

I had never had Mayasian food so wasn’t sure what to expect. I expect, I don’t like it. The roti canai and Mee goreng were good but didn’t do anything for me. I would go back and order something else as other tables had things...More

Used to visit various Banana Leaf locations often before so was glad to be back after a long break. Davie location might look worn-out a bit (tables, cutlery, etc.), but waiters are very friendly and food is still delicious. And we were lucky to catch...More

Great food here, seriously good food. Complex flavours and textures, beautifully prepared, but the service today sucked. Absolutely brutal. Where is our server? She has been absent ,apathetic bordering on rude. The food we ordered was all vegetarian, and thoroughly delicious. We had the vegetarian...More

Ordered several dishes and share with the group. Very tasty and I would order them again, except the mango & vegetable salad which lacked imagination

Large Malaysian restaurant. Many tables, with many Asian customers. We ordered the naan bread with curry and the beef rendang, which comes without rice, so we ordered two scoops of white rice. The naan was not a naan, but a chaotic mess of dough, partly...More

I've been to this location before 2x. always a good experience. I arrived on Friday night at 530pm, party of 5. The place was empty. We asked to sit by the window and the server (blonde female with European accent) says "ah how about over...More

Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver.
It is the only like area in the world to have a
permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the
city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging
from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant.
By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic
boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines,
humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside
