Apparently there are people who think brown rice makes for a healthier sushi experience, but there is a reason authentic restaurants don’t use it. It changes the texture of the sushi and interferes with the flavor and mouth feel of the fish and other ingredients....More

On a business trip and I went here with some of my colleagues. We ordered a lot of sushi so we got to sample the menu pretty well. I was a little concerned about the organic brown rice sushi...but it was amazing. The service here...More

We had a nice quick dinner here. The sushi rolls were excellent as was the teriyaki salmon. I prefer tempura and the tempura vegetables I chose were perfect. Crispy on the outside, not too much batter, very light, with lovely cooked vegetable in between. My...More

I came here with my brother on the recommendation of two friends - it did not disappoint! If you can, make a reservation, there can be a bit of a wait. The sashimi was excellent and they had a good selection of saki. The prices...More

Ordered the Spicy salmon roll, dynamite roll, spicy salmon sashimi, bomber roll and the beef udon soup. Enjoyed all the sushi which tasted fresh and the soup was pretty good as well.

I must be missing something. Healthy food is good. Food with taste is good. Can't the two coexist? I feel like we were reading reviews about another restaurant, or there was an inside joke that we didn't get. We ordered a natural bomber roll, tofu...More

Very good food, service is great. It is a kind of vegetarian food but all taste very well. One problem: the address is not correct: the number is 965 not 985. Coincidently, there is another Japanese restaurant at number 985 - we almost made a...More

Very fresh and healthy food. Sushi with brown rice and greens were all delicious. Would go back! Service was excellent and kind which is not always the case in Vancouver.

Friendly staff gave us a large table so we could store our bags as we were travelling. They were very helpful with the menu and we were tired and hungry. Would recommend the tempura, as well as the chicken and salad with crab and prawn...More

Not a very big place, but we didn't have to wait. Clean and spacious. Ample choice of sushi, sashimi and other dishes. Vegetarian possible, gluten free possible, tasty food. Reasonably priced.

Hi - I would call first (in fact you should anyway as it is very popular). We found the service very good and personal so I'd imagine gluten and garlic free should be possible/easy. Good luck and enjoy!
