Everything was outstanding. We came with a big party and booked early with Tristan; he was informative and courteous from the get-go. We enjoyed the 39$ tasting menu and we're all still talking about the lamb belly!!!! Definitely arrive hungry, the portions are generous. A new favourite; we'll be back. Thanks again guys!!!

We finally ended up with one of the tables by the fireplace after some confusion with our reservation. A low point of the evening was a five-minute argument with our waitress over ordering the burger. The Maitre d' tried his best to smooth things over, but clearly the staff needs to brush up on their table manners at this establishment.... More

We had a great dinner. I must say that I was impressed before getting there. I made online reservations for the New Years weekend, and I had some questions. I emailed the restaurant and Tristan Young, manager, replied to me promptly and answered all my questions on a couple of occasions, regarding New Years Eve menu, schedule, wine, etc. Excellent... The table was ideal (a banquette by the fire); the service was impeccable (provided by Alyssa); the dishes were prepared with care rarely seen (by Fin, Ale and the other chefs), the negroni cocktails were perfect (each with one enormous ice-cube); and the ambiance was stellar. It was certainly a top-5 meal for me, over a dining career that spans... More

Love the food here and the atmosphere. The prices are reasonable too, I'd say my only issue is getting a table here since the place is so popular. I went for lunch with my family, my wife and daughter, 5 at the time and we had a very enjoyable meal.

We had a great time and enjoyed every single bite! Great flavours in every dish, fabulous cocktails, terrific craft beer choices and delicious desserts. If you go make a reservation because it's very popular and you want to eat here. Only one drawback is the noise level but that's because everyone is having a good time.

While in Vancouver for a snowy weekend, wanted an easy walk to brunch and man, did we make the right choice. The menu is interesting . . . We had the crispy pork belly, fried polenta, cheddar scramble w/corn salsa and tomato and mozzarella frittata, gremolata, arugula, lemon parm Brussels sprouts. Both were amazing. My friend ordered toast too once... More

this is a great restaurant if you want to share dishes with friends. They actually encourage it and food was great! We had a group of 7 ladies and we were nor rushed to order our food. The waiter was so pleasant and accommodating and recommended a great wine to go with our food. The food came to us shortly... More

Excellent value on all counts. The food was interesting in presentation, eclectic in taste and pairings. The serving was professional, knowledgable, and perfectly pitched: not too "in your face" but attentive and accessible. A booth for a party of six was a combination of casual, private and comfortable. Prices are really good for the quality of food and the restaurant... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
