I ordered the #3 boxed lunch today. It contained two pieces of very greasy tempura, a greasy spring roll, a salad, chicken teriyaki, three potstickers, some ginger, and some wasabi. Alongside was a dipping sauce for the tempura. The wasabi was an unusual colour of mint green. The filling of the potstickers was grey. I have no idea what it... More

My girlfriend and I go here when we are hungry for all you can eat and this is one of the better value choices in the westend/downtown. Nice sized booths for you to sit in. I think we scare others as our whole table is filled with various menu items and we can go through it all plus a long... More

We liked the place and how it operates as we feel it helps control waste. It is an all you can eat concept. The waiter was quite honest with us about our order as we believed the order was for 3 portions but it turned out to be for just one portion. (Careful portions can sometime be large always ask... Have not been in a few months, and it appears as if it may have changed hands, as we didn't recognize any of the staff. Absolutely the worst experience in sushi I have ever had, I'm not sure why you would have wait staff that don't speak, or let me re-pharse....speak very little, or no english?! Besides the fact we... Got take out while staying at the Sandman across the street. Tekiaki beef on rice was soooo good. We ordered enough food for 5 yet only the 2 of us staying. Oh well it didnt go to waste...breakfast in the morning.

I stayed at a hotel nearby and this was in walking distance from there. They had "late night all you can eat" and so this place was jam packed on a weekday night. The food was o.k., it was cheap, but could be better. However, it was so hard to get the attention of their staff so we can get... More

We always go to Yuko Maki in North Vancouver (the very best sushi in Vancouver in terms of what you get for a very low price); so we tried this one. It was significantly worse, the dishes were not prepared, I think, up to the higher standards of the Yuko Maki in North Vancouver. A great shame. It still offers... More

This is a great place for Sushi. They are always busy and the food is FRESH. That is the important thing for Sushi. The portions are large, the prices are VERY low and the staff are just lovely. I do not think there is one like it anywhere else in BC. Order the Box B or the Sushi special and... More

Loved that it was almost like a tapas bar where you could order some and then more. The portions were small so if you did not like it you did not feel bad about leaving some on plate. If you liked it you just ordered more. Good value and very good sushi.

Staying in Davie Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Davie Village
Davie Village is the vital LGBTQ heart of Vancouver. It is the only like area in the world to have a permanent four-way rainbow crosswalk, to symbolise the city's solidarity with many of the businesses, ranging from bars to bookstores, that keep the area vibrant. By day, it is a people-watching stop, with fantastic boutique cafes, but at night is when it really shines, humming with neon lights and nightclub music inside many of the hip and trendy bars and dance halls. The area is diverse and welcoming, and its supportive community makes for a tight-knit group of independent and creative shops.
