The Acme Cafe is located just East of the former Woodward's Department Store (an old Vancouver landmark). Parking is a challenge, be careful and be on the lookout for J-walkers who will simply dart out into traffic. I selected the mac & cheese for lunch...More

This morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast - frittatas, egg sandwiches, and a yogurt parfait - all were delicious with a healthy amount of food. All loval ingredients as well. Service was friendly and fast. Also, I loved the history of the place and the...More

This little gem offers great food and good service. Pretty much everything is made in house. The Mac and Cheese is incredible, and the baked goodies are fantastic. But the real story is breakfast (now served all day). Think 50's diner, but with healthy food....More

Friendly service, tasty coffee and an assortment of delicious pastries, including an unusual selection of pies. It has a relaxed ambiance and friendly feel. Good stuff.

We stopped by on recommendation from a friend who raved. We ordered the albacore tuna salad with soy ginger vinaigrette dressing which was marvelous. Also had a slice of the banana cream pie and tea. All very tasty and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great cafe in downtown. Thought the space is small, we got sat and served quickly. Server was very kind and helpful. Food was hot. All you can ask for when you're starving after walking around so much! Would come again.

I give more points for the food than the dessert. I ordered the baked egg benny. It was delicious and different than the standard egg benny. We walked over to the dessert case and there were NO signs of what each item was. We felt...More

A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of
