Fun atmosphere and great pub food. Lots of windows looking onto Elm Street to people watch if you need an occasional distraction.

A good bar, friendly staff, wide selection of draft beers, good food. Service a little slow at times getting to you for your first order. A lot of locals and regulars lend a warm 'community' feel to the place but, as an infrequent visitor, I've...always felt welcome. Karaoke FRIDAYS 9PM TO 1AM is a big draw, attracting some good solid singers, from young to one gentleman who could be well into his 80s and has a strong, enjoyable singing voice. I have ONLY been on Fridays, so can't speak to the rest of the week, but it's a lively, friendly atmosphere on karaoke night.More
Thank you for your review! We're so glad you enjoy our karaoke nights. Please do try another of our entertainment evenings such as our Wednesday night open Mic where locals take the stage or our Sunday night Band Jam where our guests join the band...More
The Pressbox Pub located inside of Atrium inn Vancouver has very good (above average) food on our recent visit. It has a decent size menu for a pub, good cold beer, and nice atmosphere.
Thank you so much for your review! Please come back soon and enjoy our weekly live entertainment.
Cold beer well priced. Wife says same for wine. Lovely girl behind the bar working very hard to keep it all happening. Basic menu but quality okay as was the price.
Thank you so much for your review. We love hearing great things about our staff. Come back soon to enjoy the weekly entertainment.
If you are staying at the hotel, there is a food discount of 15%. Mushroom and swiss burger was properly prepared and presented. Beer was served in frosted glasses.
I used to go to his bar a lot and made friends with some of the regulars, etc. But last Saturday, I went in with my friends and it was their "DJ night" except no one was in the entire pub. We decided to have...fun anyway and requested a song be played. The DJ seemed happy and excited to actually have someone paying attention to him. Then the manager came over and started yelling at us about how we weren't allowed to make requests. That was weird in and of itself but the fact that she didn't ask nicely or calmly was pretty strange and unprofessional. She continued to shout at us from the other side of the bar and, due to her completely rude and unprofessional behaviour, we left. Won't be going back there. Other bars in the same neighbourhood give you the same drink deals but without the drama - go elsewhere instead.More
We went here to watch a hockey game and have a couple of beers. The drink prices are good and the food was ok but the manager was very dismissive and unprofessional. She kept disappearing outside to smoke and would come back in smelling strongly...of weed. Seemed very irritable for someone who spent the whole night high! Found the general vibe to be pretty unpleasant as a result, which is too bad because it is a good space and could be a decent bar. As it stands, you are better going a few minutes down the road to the slocan or the brighton.More
Ordered beef tips. Extremely dry and over cooked . Chairs had upholstery peeling off. Wood chipped. Had clam chowder as well. This was good. Waiter was nice enough to split soup for us.
This place is next door to the hotel where we stayed. We got a discount of some kind to eat there. We went in right about 5:00 p.m., which is when they opened. The waitress kinda made us feel like we were an imposition. The...food was very good...wish I could say the same for that waitress.More
We arrive around 6pm on a Monday and there were only two other people in the restaurant. We were helped quickly and the food was delicious. Our waiter was polite and ready to help with suggestions about what to see in Vancouver.
Been to the place before a couple of years back. Prices for food is a bit much but the food is not bad (chicken fingers at least). Beer prices are semi reasonable. Don't know if it was just the time of the night or how...the place was but didn't really like having to go up to the counter to order food when the place seemed well staffed and the place was not busy but oh well. Don't know if I would go again but if you are looking to have a pint and you are in the PNE with nowhere else to go and not wanting to go anywhere else it's not a bad place to hang out.More
We ate here while staying at the Atrium Hotel, next door to the Pressbox. Food was ok, the house selection of local craft beers were good!
I would absolutely recommend this place for food! The servers are super friendly and the food was super good! The only problem I had was the server had troubles making drinks. Unfortunately they were terrible drinks. I would definitely return to this place for the...food though.More
The nachos had like zero cheese on them. The chilli came separate from the nachos and was super dry. Nothing was even stuck to the chips because there was no cheese on them. The yam fries were alright. Average.
Revisited this pub a few weeks ago with a friend after a race at the PNE fairgrounds. When we walked in, there were a few servers behind the bar, and only a few tables with customers. We sat down at a table in the middle...of the room. After a few minutes of no service, I walked up to the bar to ask if the kitchen was still taking orders. The waitress asked the kitchen, then replied that they were still open and gave me a menu. I sat back down at our table with our menus. We sat for a few minutes deciding on our food, but had already decided on our drinks, but no server came to our table. People that arrived after us were served before we were able to place an order. After a server had come to the table next to us for her second time, I called her over and asked if we could order from her. She looked so surprised at the request (What the heck else did she think we were doing there?)! We ordered our drinks and food, and both did come without any issues, luckily, but the service continued to seem like an inconvenience to the server. A friend had texted us that she was going to be joining us and gave us her drink order. Ten minutes after she texted, she arrived, but the server hadn't even come by for us to place her order. When she did finally come, we placed another drink order, which came pretty quick, but that was the last we saw of our server until we decided to leave, since we were being ignored anyways. I almost never depreciate a tip below 15%, but we probably only gave 10 since they were so lame! So, after an entire year of not coming to this place, the experience of my last visit was the same as the first. Good food, good value, LAME Servers!More
