This location is permanently closed. Pepitas is a long-time mexican restaurant right next door (2nd floor, corner of 4th and Burrard--entrance off Burrard side), so if you need to get your Mexican, go there.

Chronic Tacos at 1812 W 4th Ave in Kitsilano. A small place with great and attentive service. Food was really good with lots of chooses of proteins, sauces, beans, cheeses, and greens. The burritos are huge; we both could only eat half of each one and took the rest home for dinner (it heats up well in the microwave.) Next... More

The food was delicious and simple. Maybe not the most authentic but it was still satisfying and portions were huge. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was laid back and hip. Ill be back for sure.

Don't go here expecting a real Mexican meal. The food is good. The restaurant isn't claiming to be authentic Mexican food. Good place to get a beer and have a supersized burrito.

I have gone to Chronic Tacos twice. The tacos are good however, I doubt I will go there a third time. On the second attendance I ordered: 3 beef hard tacos 2 grilled fish soft corn tacos 1 chicken soft corn taco The total price was $24 and change. The staff was nice and venue was clean.

These tacos are not authentic and are not very good. Service and atmosphere are great - but if I return I will stick to beer with chips and salsa. Much better tacos to be had in the neighbourhood.

I spend a lot of time in orange county, California where Chronic originated. Would eat there or Wahoo every day, so stoked when they opened up franchises in Vancouver. It's not some authentic taquerias so don't expect that. It's some skateboarders/surfers that started a kick [--] taco shop. Good food, great vibe. Grilled mahi mahi fatty tacos baha style plus... My friend from Van recommended this place so we went. It was quite delicious! There are different types of things to get, not just your regular burritos and tacos. I had a taco salad (made in a fresh made taco bowl) that was so amazing. They cook up what you want in it right there and have all the fresh... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
