Great place to eat as a vegetarian! Their hummus is so fresh and the flavors in their dishes are so yummy!

Tried the feast for 2 people at $39 for lunch. A few substitutions necessary to make it gluten free, which were readily offered (such as romaine instead of pita to scoop up the hummus and eggplant puree). It's actually surprisingly filling! And no reason to feel bad about it:-)

Yummy food...eggplant main dish, cauliflower dish, all the appetizer dips, potatoes, great vegan options! Definitely healthy eating! Wish I could eat like that everyday! Servers served with a smile!

Four of us went to Nuba Cafe for an early dinner, two of us being semi-vegetarian, and the other two being omnivores. The restaurant does not take reservations so we had a 15 minute wait before being seated at 6:00pm. We went slightly overboard underestimating portion sizes and ordered far too much including the staples of flat breads, hummus, baba... More

I had a craving for good falafel so after looking at reviews online, I decided to give Nuba Cafe on 3rd Avenue just west of Main Street, across from Swiss Bakery. I went around 1PM -- it was crowded and continued to be so for the next 40 minutes. Because I was alone and the only table available was near... More

Nice choice of lunch options with good size portions. Place relatively small, so go a bit before noon or you'll have to wait a bit. Food was tasty. Certain to head back.

Enjoyed the large share plate which included a sampling of a variety of Lebanese/Mediterranean foods offered by Nabu. It was plenty for three people. Especially enjoyed the hummus and cauliflower. The service was good with quick refills of bread and water, although the restaurant became very busy. Tip: Arrive at 11:30 for lunch as it becomes very busy.

Had their special - Lamb Shank - it was tender - falling off the bone - and tasty as it could be. If you like lamb, give this place a try. I'd go back in a minute.

a very unique experience with pita, humus and everything tasty. Our preference is the prawns as a main. Great location and definitely great place to dine at that is casual but spot on.

Neighbourhood Profile
Southeast False Creek
Developed alongside the Vancouver Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games, a past fraught with hardship has recently been overcome, and builders are changing the landscape on the ground of Southeast False Creek at a rapid pace. With waterfront dining, ultra-modern facilities, sports stadiums, and a load of greenery, parks, and rest spots built into the ever-changing infrastructure, it's a fast-paced and mutable spot to see Vancouver taking shape and making history. It is especially popular for the casual sportsman, as the Seawall on the water makes for one of the most scenic locations for cycling or roller-blading, jogging or strolling.
