First night in Vancouver and we found this gem. Lovely waitresses and knowledgeable bar staff. If you can't find a beer that you like here there is something wrong with you. Great atmosphere and enough sports to go round. Food is great and affordable.

Great Food! Great Service! Great Atomsphere! We had the best waitress! She gave bang on recommendations! My husband like to banter with the wait staff and she sized him up really quick and gave it right back! She was amazing! We really enjoyed her and...More

By far the worst service I’ve had in years. 25mins without as much as a word from the server. We’ll never be back.

Upon entering, the place was quiet. Though this was probably usual for a Wednesday evening. The ambience wasn't the best, but certainly picked up towards the end. I imagine the place is a good spot on a Friday/Saturday evening if you're looking for a buzzy...More

This was a stop in my buddy’s bachelor party. Great drink selection, great food, and great service. Our waiter was a bit sassy and knew exactly how to play to our group. Def a great place to go!

Mixed clientele, drinks are pretty good, good range of local beers and actually good food. Turns into a nightclub still bar later on in the night and has aa second smaller bar in the other back corner when the main bar is busy

We had 2 separate, but equally disappointing, visits to the Lamplighter. On both occasions we visited at lunch time, hoping for a drink & something to eat. So we arrived, I ordered a Caesar & my partner ordered a lager top - the waitress looked...More

We stopped in on a Friday night (well, also again on Saturday). As you can tell, we really liked it, hence the second visit. It was pretty full, but we did not feel crowded. The service was a bit slow the first time, but much...More

I was at the Lamplighter last night for the first time in 5 years and had a horrible experience with one of its staff members. I was sitting at a table with some friends for a birthday party when the table next to me smashed...More

Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and
stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of
being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many
plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell
the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's
history a more lively presence here than anywhere
else. Having been originally founded around a popular
worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of

When we were there there were several different sporting events showing on different screens, so I'm sure that they would accommodate your request.

Description
Housed in the historic Dominion Grand Hotel (est. 1899) in Gastown, this pub was renovated in 2007 and retains its original tin-stamped ceilings, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows and railings. The rest of this storied room has been given a grand renovation, including a new sound system and jukebox, classic pub furniture and flatscreen TVs. A long-time favourite Vancouver watering hole, the Lamplighter is the city’s busiest pub for good reason: friendly service, honest local pub fare, a large selection of craft beer and cocktails, comprehensive sports programming, and talented DJs and live bands give the legendary Lamplighter its famed atmosphere.
