My experiences at the Sylvia have always been great. If you want a prime location to eat some wonderful food at English Bay, then this will be a great place for you. Very nice staff in a nostalgic location.

We go and eat at this Sylvia every time we are in Vancouver because the lounge is comfortable and easy to visit with my grandpa. The food is always fresh and wonderful and we enjoy looking out at the view as we visit.

We ate breakfast at the Sylvia. Coffee was plentiful. My omelette was pretty good but I have had better. What made it special is the view. Sitting at a window looking out at English Bay. That is what I will remember

This is a lovely old place, with plenty of atmosphere, For a fish and chip supper with a friend, a cozy spot, though our poor waitress was so busy, she kept forgetting things! That aside, we enjoyed ourselves and the fish was delicious. Will be...More

I enjoyed my stay very much, They were friendly and attentive and the room was comfy and had more character than a chain hotel, but that also meant a few slightly funky things. Minor, like not being able to turn off the reading lights other...More

Service: excellent. Food and drinks: really good This hotel is my home away from home. Undergoing a major renovation at the moment, which I'm sure is putting huge stress on the staff, but they are all amazing and my room was comfy and quiet as...More
