Stylish old world hotel right on the foreshore of English Bay in the West End of Vancouver. Excellent bar and restaurant with great views off the bar. Great location for walking or cycling the Seawall to Stanley Park. We had the beach view suite which...was very spacious and well appointed with kitchen and living area. Only a small double bed though. It’s been a while since the hotel has had an update and in some areas it’s looking a bit dated but that’s a part of its charm. Staff are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this Hotel if you like a hotel with character and style.More

We had breakfast every morning for 4 days. It was wonderful and we enjoyed having it in the alcove overlooking English bay. Service and food was excellent

My favorite place to stay. I plan my Vancouver trips from Texas Around room availability at The Sylvia. It has old Vancouver/English Bay century year old charm.

Fall location is awesome - the beach & the colours are magnificent. Friendly staff & large room sizes keep us coming back. Our pooch loves the treats too!

We had a very pleasant stay at Sylvia's for four nights. The room was a bit old fashioned but cosy and clean. All staff members were most friendly and helpful! Above all we enjoyed the elegant bar with the live music sessions.

Love this spot. Great service, great location. I have been there whrn they have light entertainment and that adds even more to atmosphere. The clam chowder is fantastic !!

We stayed 4 nights at the Sylvia. Enjoyed breakfast each morning and had the most friendly and professional server named Cindy.

A wonderful staff, good selective menu. Comparable pricing. Great view of the bay. Within walking distance to many amenities.

We stayed two nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Excellent eggs bennie and the wait staff were awesome. She had a beautiful smile. We also enjoyed the lounge later in the evening and again the service was excellent.

Its always a pleasure to stay at the Sylvia. Staff are polite and patient. Rates are comparable, and the proximity to English Bay is a bonus -we always stroll the sea wall.

Both late evening dinner and breakfast were excellent -- good food, pleasant and spacious room (with a lovely view!), and helpful, friendly service.

The ambience was marvellous the location perfect great room and excellent service we will recommend to friends travelling to Vancouver
